Private and pet-friendly spacious modern home in a great location across a quiet neighborhood street from Tawas Lake. Low rates. Open Mid-March to early Jan. Easy lake access with rowboat provided. Only one mile from the Lake Huron beachfront park and quaint shops of East Tawas, the nicest tourist destination on the Sunrise Coast. Fully updated with all new furniture (2013) and appliances (2006) with a total inside and out renovation. Newer large deck faces woods. House is on 3 lots with huge oak trees and nice views of Tawas Lake and the surrounding woods (look for the deer!). My main website address, www.ecologyusa.com has guest comments, more information, and many photos of the interior and lovely surroundings. The house will sleep 8 and has a fireplace, AC, cable TV, DVD, stereo system, outside fire pit, and everything you need except food. The large family room is all windows with a nicely private view of the woods. The front room has Tawas Lake views and can sleep a ninth person. There are two bedrooms, one with two twin beds, the other with a newer full bed. Each of the two large family rooms has a good-quality sofa sleeper. The kitchen is fully equipped with a microwave, coffee maker, cooking utensils, dishes, etc. There is a full bathroom with shower and tub, and a full-size new washer and dryer. Expect a clean, fully equipped house in a quiet cottage area with friendly neighbors. Paved streets with little traffic are ideal for bicycling, walking, and skating. Tawas Lake is a large all-sports lake with a mostly undeveloped shoreline. Enjoy great fishing, waterfowl viewing/hunting, or just adventuring out in my rowboat. The boat can be left on the beach right across the street from the house in a rarely used right-of-way. Larger boats can be launched and beached at the nearby public boat ramp. Wild rice still grows on some of Tawas Lake – this is definitely a special place compared to many overused northern lakes because of its beauty, natural character, and abundance of fish and wildlife. You or the kids can swim or wade across the street or at a nearby city owned vacant waterfront lot, but the best swimming is only a mile away at the great East Tawas waterfront park. The park has an incredible long and wide sandy beach with a huge dock where you can take a long walk, fish, or just view all the docked yachts.

Nearby Attractions: - The main street of East Tawas ends at the waterfront park and is lined with antique stores, casual or fine dining establishments, a classic movie theatre, and a variety of other shops. The East Tawas/Tawas City area spanning Tawas Bay is the perfect size – small enough to be uncrowded and quaint but large enough to have lots of activities, large grocery stores, and a variety of shops and dining. Nearby Tawas Point State Park juts into Lake Huron with a super beach, historic lighthouse.&
