Own Your Own Beach House (for a week) What a great way to spend our 1st KW vacation. Holly is very thoughtful and nice. She worked hard to make our stay comfortable, quiet and fantastic. The bikes that we rented from her got us all over the island in style. They had locks, lights and nice baskets for bringing back provisions and treasures. Waking up each morning with all of the windows open to the sound of the waves, the smell of the ocean and the roosters crowing in the background is hard to match anywhere else (deep breath)... The powder white beach just out the front door is far superior to the typical seawall or seaweed beaches that are found at most other places on the island. The water was very clear, we made it a point to swim every day. At the beach we saw a sea turtle on the first day and a followed a stingray around on the last day. The house is old-school but very, very clean, nice and comfortable. There's no hotel room feel here. You're on the beach in your own home!!! Thanks Holly for all your hospitality. Fabulous location and such a charming creative place! 5 of 5 We absolutely loved our stay here. The owner has put so much care and love into the place it feels like another world but home all at the same time. Holly has taken great care to keep the old Key West attributes of the home. We loved sitting on the porch watching the ocean and sleeping with the windows open at night listening to the waves! It is super close to all the sights but not so close you get all the noise. The pictures don't do this place justice!!! 5 of 5 My (now fiance) and I stayed here for the most special weekend of our lives thus far. I let the owner know that I was proposing that weekend and she made every effort to ensure the perfect stay. Flowers, balloons, champagne... Your back porch steps out literally on to the sand of the southernmost beach. We didn't take advantage of the watersports that were readily available RIGHT in the back yard, but we did get chairs available from the Waldorf Astoria resort that pays multiples more money to enjoy the same beach. The views are breathtaking... As for the nightlife, you are a very short walk from Duval and probably the most important luxury was a local convenience store that sells the island's best Cuban coffee, coconuts you can drink from with a straw and anything else you forgot. The house was clean, owner answered all questions, and not only would I recommend this place to a relative or friend, we will definitely stay here again. Wonderful Place!! 5 of 5 We stayed at this wonderful studio for 7 nights, and it couldn't have been more perfect! The view was amazing, the beach was awesome. The neighborhood was gorgeous, loads of lovely restaurants and shops within walking distance. I would definitely recommend renting bicycles during your stay..it's the easiest way to get around the island. Barefoot Billys right across the sandy lane was ideal for planning excursions and trips, and great value as well. Holly and Javier were such lovely people and made us feel so welcome! The only drawback was that we loved it so much, we didn't want to leave!!! We will definitely stay here again during our next trip to Key West!

Best Location in Key West 5 of 5 My husband and I were fortunate this winter to spend ten days at Southernmost Studio. I found our 5 Star Studio on VRBO. I was hoping that the studio would be as nice as described but it was better than either one of us ever anticipated. We were afraid that being a studio it would be rather small. However, it was very spacious. We were within close walking distance of many restaurants on Duvall Street and the surrounding area yet our neighborhood was very quiet. Our patio was directly on the beach and every evening we would sit and have a glass of wine as the sun set. At night we could fall asleep listening to the waves..Bicycles were available that we rode daily around the island. It was so nice we are planning on returning next year. Tom G. Cambridge OH
The Best of Key West! 5 of 5 My Husband and I had an amazing honeymoon experience in Key West. We couldn't have gotten a better place to stay! Its literally THE BEST spot in all of Key West. Quiet, private, clean, and cozy. You have all you need for your stay. Breathtaking views of the beach and ocean out every window! Just lay in the bed, listen and watch the waves! Enjoy your cup of coffee and enjoy the view from the cute little kitchenette. Theres a nice TV but we chose to enjoy only the beauty and entertainment of the Tropical nature. The beach is so private and the BEST in all of Key West. The pool next is door is really nice too.. enjoy both! We really enjoyed the bicycles too! How convenient to just hop on the bike and ride all over Old Town Key West, down Duvall Street and to Mallory Square without having to fight or pay for parking. Sunsets at Mallory Square are a must to attend! EVERY NIGHT! Holly is extremely nice, and very helpful with any questions you may have! She and her studio are one of kind! Perfect Hide Away 5 of 5 What an amazing location! I traveled down from Miami to enjoy a couple days in Key West and a jet ski tour around the Island. It was just me and a buddy. I found Holly's place on VRBO and it looked perfect. Right on the beach, absolutely amazing view. There is a Jet Ski location right in front of the condo on the beach, so we just stumbled out of bed and jumped on some jet skis! The condo was nice, has everything you could need. The location is easy access to everything. We walked to Duval street, and to get meals. We also utilized the bikes that we're available and enjoyed that too. Holly was a sweet heart and had all kinds of good info on what to do and where to eat. Look forward to coming back! - T Post, Dallas, Tx
A little different, a LOT of Fun! 5 of 5 Just back from a great Thanksgiving holiday at the "Crow's Nest". First - thanks to Holly for having us in your home and making the trip a perfect experience. If you don't read any more of this review, just know that the accomodations were extremely comfortable, the location perfect and everyone we met was wonderful! Just enough personal attention to make us feel welcome and to know someone was there if needed. And the the homemade treats Holly brought down to the beach for us to sample were delicious (a Sunday tradition I understand). All of the recommendations that we took advantage of were a lot of fun and a week on the bikes was just a great way to see the island (so glad we didn't rent a car!) and the beaches and the fantastic restaurants and the touristy attractions and the bars. All within a short walk or bike ride. The convenience of the location is perfect - just a couple of blocks from the quiet end of Duval, so all the amenities were easily accessible and the quiet escape awaited when we were ready. The coziness of the Crow's Nest was a great vantage point to watch the beach crowd when we weren't a part of it. The breezes through the open window along with the sound of the waves was a perfect way to fall to asleep and wake. Enjoyed the facilites next door and the staff there treated us as if we Resort guests. Thanks again to Holly for helping make our 30th anniversary trip so special. P.S. recommendations for those interested . . . It was sublime to open the sliders and hear the ocean all night. To wake to the early morning sky and see the clouds peel away, revealing beautiful sand and water. Duval is an easy walk and/or bike ride. We went all around Key West and felt great coming back to the studio rather than a hotel. Mixing margaritas, reading a book while looking out the window before dinner was much better than hearing other guests in the halls. It felt like we were staying at a friend's house. Everything you needed was there. It was clean and well maintained. This is not an opulent space, the bathroom and shower are small, but big enough to do what you need to do. It is extremely comfortable with a clever use of space. The views are showstopping and you will be surrounded by peace. Spend the money and rent the bikes from the owner, it's better than hassling with the bike vendors. The owner left laminated maps of Key West with recommended restaurants including coffees, good deals, etc. We checked out one of them--an authentic cuban restaurant, and we weren't disappointed. The owner was not onsite at the time we were there, but she checked in with us on our first night to make sure we had everything we needeed. We left a bottle of wine for the next guests, hoping they would do the same before they left and that others after them would pay it forward. You get access to the private beach and pool next door. It was fun to be able to take advantage of these amenitites and the staff were polite and accommodating.
Great location and views! Guest: Marsha(Fredericksburg, TX) Date of Stay: 09/24/10 Review Submitted: 10/02/10 We stayed for a week and thought the studio was very spacious and well decorated in island/Caribbean theme, some of the work was done by the owner who is an artist so that made it much more interesting. The views from the living areas were wonderful of the ocean, and we walked everywhere from this location although next time we will take Holly up on using the bikes as the northern part of Duval was too far to walk to and back. Would highly recommend this property. The property was clean, large fridge, great amentities. Would recommend to everyone. Hope to go again and stay at the same place. Great recommendations from the owner on things to do and places to go and dinner recommendations. Excellent dinner recommendations. Definitely use "No Worries" Charter for going out to the reef for snorkeling - was recommended by owner and will do this again. Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway.

Nevertheless, the enchantment of our stay there lingers to this day. When you stay there you feel like you are sleeping on the beach - with windows that open on all sides of you you can see an hear the ocean and the breeze blowing through the palm trees. We would spend quite a bit of time in the studio each morning since you could still experience relaxing on the beach while still being in the comforts of the studio. The studio is quaint and unpretentious. The #1 amenity is the view and proximity to the beach and Duval Street. In Key West what more do you need? I unfortunately did not have the opportunity to meet Holly and Javier face-to-face as they were away due to a family emergency. However, they were super-accomodating and made sure that our stay was enjoyable even from afar.

We got engaged to be married while staying there and had the perfect setting in the condo and the perfect concierge with Holly. Quiet and clean with everything you need for a wonderful stay. The view is fantastic. Open the windows and sliders for a refreshing ocean breeze night and day. Holly and Javier are warm and welcoming hosts who are nearby if you need them. I recommend renting the bikes for some Key West site seeing, but you can walk to Duval St. and Mallory Square. We had full use of the pool and beach at the resort next door for a reasonable daily fee. The resort staff is very friendly and accommodating. We loved our stay in Key West and when we return, I hope this studio is available for our stay. Recommended for: Adventure seekers, Tourists without a car, Sightseeing, Romantic getaway
We visited Key West in Dec '08 and it was our fist visit. We wanted a beach view; and privacy to rest and relax. The studio apt. was perfect. Holly described it exactly. It had the 180 degrees view; louvred windows open to the breezes. She had stocked up on our favorites for lunch; and had our beverages iced on arrival. The location is perfect, across the lane from "Louies' Backyard" and within walking distance to all the action on Duval St. We did a lot of walking ( by choice) but there are buses, cabs and easy to call if wanted. We enjoyed the beach ( right outside the door ) for several days, and walked around the town for the other couple days. The stairway up the back is not for people who are disabled ( spiral metal stair case) but the studio was very nice; with kitchen and all amenities; shower; bed, etc. We took a cab to and from airport. No problems at all... Recommended for: Age 55+, Tourists without a car, Sightseeing, Romantic getaway
