Charming, dog friendly, 3 bedroom /1 bath cabin in upper Moonridge area. Tongue & groove pine throughout -- all bedrooms with vaulted ceilings. Bdrm 1 downstairs has a new King, Bdrm 2 downstairs has a queen, and two twins and a trundle bed in the large upstairs bedroom w/ a small deck and card table. Extra blankets and pillows provided. One full bathroom. The kitchen has everything you need to make and eat great meals. The large area dining room table has 8 chairs. A washer & dryer or clothesline is available. Three TV's, wifi, stream movies with your device. A cheery wood burning stove is located in the corner of the living room and can be viewed from the dining room. New carpet and vinyl in 2018. The large flat lot runs from street to street. Access and parking is off the alley with easy flat parking for 3 vehicles NO steep driveway or any stairs for parking and unloading. A gated yard behind the cabin is great for one small dog. Gas BBQ, picnic tables w/benches and outdoor chairs. I have always wanted to have a white Christmas, so I stayed there on the 23rd 24th and 25th in 2010. The day my family and I traveled out there, we hit traffic, and the weather did not make the roads any easier. We finally got to the cabin and it snowed that night. We got comfortable and put logs in the fireplace. The next morning when we woke up, looking out the window, everything was in a blanket of white snow, which was for me and my family what we had always wanted to experience, a white Christmas. This was a great Christmas for us at this cozy cabin. I would definitely return. John V.
My 2nd visit to this cabin. The Weekend I was there, My friend and I got to see a car show, had fun watching and taking pictures of all these classic cars, I have been to a couple car shows before, but never had seen as many cars as they had in Big Bear that day, great fun. We also got to go to a 4 hour hike. The weather was perfect and the view spectacular. When we returned to the cabin, I took a little nap outside in the shade. Loved the comfort of this cabin and I have recommended it to my friends. Thanks, John V.
Easy drive to Big Bear from Los Angeles. Cute cabin up in the Moonridge area hills. Nicely stocked kitchen. We liked that the parking area is flat and there are no stairs to contend with. Big dining room. Big Bear is a small town so everything was really close. Big Bear village and the markets were close by. The ski area is very convenient for hiking & mtn biking until the snow arrives.
