What a wonderful property to stay at. We had a fabulous time. The views are outstanding and the house was all we hoped for and more. With such great access to the water both down at the private beach area and the boat docks we had a great time. The only bad part was having to leave, we were ready to move in and stay forever. Owner/ managment made arrangements easy and hassle free. If you are looking for a place out at Martinez Lake area to stay , look no further. Oh and I couldnt complete this review without mentioning the rooftop deck. Best weekend the family has had in a long time and looking forward to going back.
Absolutely loved our stay and cannot wait to return. The house is in the perfect location, docks easily accessible and Martinez store and cantina just a short walk away. The house is a great open layout with 3 bedrooms, a small kitchen, a laundry room and and a large living room. The bathrooms are a little tricky, one is in the front bedroom and the other is attached to back bedroom so you must pass through bathroom to get to bedroom. I suggest not taking that back bedroom if you go to bed earlier than the rest of your group as you will hear people coming in and out all night. The living room has plenty of space to set up additional air mattress' or roll out beds if needed. My favorite part of the house was the roof deck. There is a small kitchen area up on deck, pretty much just a counter and bbg but the view is beautiful. We mostly hung up there in the evening but set up an ez up during the day to give shade near the front of the deck as the covered kitchen area doesn't allow for the view. There is also plenty of parking in property, we had 3 trucks and 2 boat trailers all parked inside gate. The house has a private beach area that is shared with the 2 neighbors. Fun area as there is no need to find a sand bar you can just hang on the beach and take boat out right from there. We didn't even bring the boat out our last day there and had a great time. Perfect if you don't have too many toys and just want to enjoy the river. Also great for kids to play on the sand and float on their rafts without having to lug everything out. The walk from beach to house is a bit of a steep hill but really not bad at all. Check in and out was easy and the house was clean. There is an additional $150 cleaning fee added on so be sure to budget for that as well. Overall a great stay. Would recommend it to friends and will be renting this house again.
Great place to stay!!! The beach area is prime and perfect to relax after a long day at the sand bar. The house was very nice and had some really cool features. Would recommend this place to everybody
This place was AMAZING .. The view alone blew us away ... We walked in and just fell in love with this rental ... The living room is so big and the layout of the house was perfect for our group , nice and spacious especially the roof top patio we enjoyed many wonderful moments up there ... overall the House was well equipped everything we needed ... A+++++ .... I look forward to renting showboat again ....

Private beach and dock makes this place stand out. The views from the house are simply amazing. You could never get tired of this.
My girlfriend and I recently rented the Showboat. It was fabulous! The dock made it easy to park two boats and two jet skis for the evening. We had the use of a beach right on the river. When we were done cruising on the river is was nice to park on the beach and be able to walk right up to the house and grab anything we needed. The upper deck provided wonderful views all around. The Air Conditioning kept us plenty cool for those hot nights. It held 9 adults and 2 little one easily. Just perfect all around. Note: The parking... It held three trucks with trailers and a mini van easily - but you have to be a master at moving a long-bed truck and a trailer around. Its at the end of the street and the neighbors have vehicles in the way sometimes.
We will be back! Loved that it is quiet ( a little louder some weekends ) but can walk to 2 restaurants/ bars and the most beautiful views from the house. Yuma downtown is 30 minutes away and easy to get to tourist sites. What we loved about the house was Everything! Wished it was ours. It is a little quirky but that is the charm. Didn't use the boat dock only because we don't have a boat. Loved watching people fish and seeing the helicopters from The Proving Grounds doing fly byes. Everyone we met is so friendly and nice and the restaurants have great food. Relax and Enjoy!
Overall my family, friends and I had a wonderful time and look forward to next year already. We have Friends already looking for dates they can rent it....just a few things below, but remember we are only there a week, not like we are living there full time. Great location, house clean on arrival, semi private beach was wonderful, path to get there not too bad at all.., view was great, BBQ up on deck worked great and used everyday but one with a small little kitchen there too. TV and direct TV and channels were wonderful, AC worked great, boat dock worked well , bottled water machine was great, but most of all the wifi in the house and separate one down at the beach was the biggest thing of all....service for all phone Company's and Hotspots is always horrible in that area...I was able to work on my computer, use Apple TV with the 24" flat screen we brought for our room and kids were able to use social media, post pictures ( they would die without that..lol). Wifi was not Listed on Website, but was a very NICE Surprise.... Bunk bed room for the Kids they could feel the springs on all the beds. Very small oven in Kitchen if you plan on a big dinner. never checked if large oven up stairs worked. "Dryer was not working", not heating up, (it Happens, just so happened on our trip :( ) Very hard to get trailers in and out of location as the neighbors have lots of Things in the way and it was very very tight to move vehicles and trailers in and out. Michele (your Contact there) , She was WONDERFUL. If we needed anything 5 gal water jug, trash bags, propane even moving some of the stuff around to get trailers in and out she was always there and helpful. Nice to have her next door. Lol We have had our Fare share of Rental Locations in Blythe and Yuma over the last 20 yrs, and I think we have found a home to use for many years to come hopefully (many other rentals we used went under)....Thanx Again to the Irwin's for opening there home to our Family. great vacation trip overall and Can't wait till next year...Hopefully we will use more then just once
