Date of Stay August 8, 2015 Helpful votes:1/1 We just completed a great family vacation at this lovely lake house. We had between 8 and 10 adults and grown teenagers throughout the week with 6 staying in the house and the others sleeping in the detached bunkhouse which we were able to reserve for the week. We were also very thankful that the owners allowed us to bring our dog Sophie with us as well. The house was perfect for our needs as it comes fully equipped with all the necessities from pots, pans and utensils in the kitchen, to bedding and plenty of towels for everyone. The dock abd covered slips were great for mooring our ski boat and the water was clear and had no issues with depth coming in and out. We've stayed at many other locations on the Lake over the years and this was one of the best spots we've found. Our whole family really appreciated being able to use the many watercraft, from kayaks to paddle boards, canoe and the super fun seacycle, everyone was able to always find something to keep them busy. Best of all was the private beach and diving rock right next to the dock. My wife and I felt like we were in a Corona beer commercial each day sitting there in our beach chairs with our toes in the sand and water with a nice cold adult beverage in hand. An absolutely great time was had by all. We're definitely bringing the family back for another week next summer! Spent the third week of August 2015 at this well appointed house right on the lake. We had one adult and three teenage boys and the layout worked very well. Was initially concerned that we were too far from town, but house is an easy 20 minute drive into Hayden. A big plus for us were all the water "toys" provided by the owners: 2 kayacks, 2 paddle boats and a canoe, as we did not bring our own boat. Lifejackets were provided but we brought our own. The boys spent most of their time fishing and this Mom was happy that they were outdoors in the fresh air having fun. I'd recommend this property for anyone except families with more than one toddler. There are a couple of drop off's that would make me nervous, but that is probably the case with 95% of vacation homes available on Hayden Lake. Everything about this house is as advertised both in print and photos. We had a great week on the lake. Our kids love to jump in the lake and it was nice and deep to do just that! We brought our boat but there was plenty of water toys to use if you don't have a boat. We loved just sitting on the dock or deck and watching the view or if you prefer to stay indoors the home would accommodate that just fine . Our family rated this our best place on Hayden Lake as we have stayed at many other places. Thank you for sharing your lake home!!! This was a GREAT location for a family vacation. The house was perfect and the access to the lake was excellent with its private dock. In fact, it was so perfect that we have booked a second week before the summer ends. Thanks for allowing us to rent your beautiful home Bob!! Perfect choice for my week with my family in ID while doing the Ironman! We had to make daily/frequent drives into Coeur d'Alene for various race functions, but it was close enough to not be a bother and far enough to escape and decompress before and after the race from all the commotion. With the bunkhouse for the kids, there was plenty of room for all 10 of us. If the kids weren't playing in the water, they were playing and entertaining themselves in the bunkhouse. Ample water toys, which all got used and dry lifejackets to put on (I like, and notice, the little things like the secure/solid storage bin). My parents appreciated having a "property manager" (Jeannie) nearby for any questions, but Bob was near his phone for any calls as well. Now that my race is done, I don't have plans to head back to the area anytime soon, but I'll certainly recommend this place to others heading that direction!
