Nearby Attractions: - Nettles Island features two pools, one at the rec center with hot tubs, and one located at the beach with private Nettles Island access. Also included is mini-golf, shuffleboard, horseshoes, bocce, Ping-Pong, billiards and an exercise room. The rec center has a café that is open daily until 2:00. Casual, fine-dining and shopping are close by, along with surf board, kayak and boat rentals. Plenty of places to fish!
We (family of 4, kids ages 6 & 9) did not know what to expect and I am happy to say this place was GREAT! Clean, Comfortable, close to everything (although, I would "rent" a golf cart as the beach is a bit of a walk and EVERYBODY on the island uses them-the kids thought they were AWESOME!) The "rec center" is just out the back door with a pool, and every other amenity imaginable. There is even a breakfast and lunch place tucked into the first floor- try the "Mickey Mouse" pancakes for the kids!!! The islands general store also has homemade donuts and pastries every morning- although get there early as they are gobbled up quick. The unit was perfect, and the owners, Sandy and Gary were awesome! We have already booked for next year!!!!
