Five Star Review... This summer rental is located on an island away from the traffic and on a quiet street. It has everything necessary to accommodate a get away for two or a family of four with room for 2 more. Every room is clean and comfortable. There are grocery stores, a fish market, and many restaurants are nearby. You can grab a salad at The Pita Spot or a more upscale meal at S&P; Oyster Co. or Bravo Bravo. The town of Mystic has many shops to explore and an art Festival in august, if you're so inclined. Mystic Seaport is minutes away, as are two casino's. There three wineries in nearby Stonington with tours and tastings, just a few miles down the road. Finally if you need to work on your tan, there is no beach but the deck is private and spacious. What we liked best was it was quiet. More Review Details Your Response - Aug 17, 2012 Dear Joe and Mary, Thank you so much for your kind words! It was a pleasure to have the two of you as our guests. We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay at our home, our large deck, and the Mystic area. For our guests who wish to go to the beach, Williams Beach in Mystic (1/2 mile from our house) accommodates families with small children. Misquamicut Beach, RI and Ocean Beach, New London CT are very large beaches only a short drive from our home. Closer by, there are several very nice beaches, such as Esker Point Beach in Noank, CT and Dubois Beach in Stonington, CT, as well as Greens Harbor Beach in New London, CT and Hole-In-the-Wall Beach in Niantic, CT. If you poke around Mason's Island, you will even find small beach spots along the coast. Thank you for your very beautiful photographs of the sunrise and sunset as viewed from our deck. We look forward to seeing the two of you again next year! Sincerely, Richard & Margaret Caster
Thank you so much for allowing us to rent your home in Mystic, Connecticut. We had a wonderful week full of rest, relaxation, and attending a family reunion. It was just what we were looking for with its beautiful views and welcoming neighborhood. The south deck was perfect for reading and having dinner outside. Having early morning coffee on the east deck with the sun rising was inspiring. We will miss the fresh air coming in through the doors and windows as well as the cheerful sound of birds going about their daily business. The many books and movies available were a great delight too. We look forward to coming back next year and bringing our family. Your home was a joy for us. Thank you.
