Beautiful 3br/2ba Chalet within walking distance to Big Bear City Airport. Watch planes take off and land from the spacious deck in the 6 person Jacuzzi. This Chalet sleeps 8, with 2 King beds 1 Queen bed and a Queen sofa sleeper. Big fenced yard. And YES, your pet is welcome upon approval. Enjoy movies in Surround Sound on the 50” HDTV while sitting in front of the large woodburning/gas fireplace. The home is fully equipped and includes a 30” gas grill BBQ plus a washer and dryer in the 2 car garage. There are plenty of games for the kids and adults. Each bedroom is appointed with a flat panel HDTV and DVD player. There are plenty of movies to choose from our extensive DVD library. Don't forget your laptop, this cabin has high speed wireless internet.

We stay at the Pilot Chalet almost every winter. The cabin is fully equip and comfortable for 8 people. We love the location because it is close to everything, but far enough away from all the traffic. Also, it is on a cul de sac, which makes it great for the little ones to play in the snow. The owner of the cabin is very responsive and easy to make lodging arrangements with. We are looking forward to making many more memories here and we recommend this cabin to anyone seeking a clean, cozy place to stay while in Big Bear.
Our family of 6 (4 kids are all in their early 20's) thoroughly enjoyed Christmas week in Shaun's Pilot's Chalet! It is a VERY clean, comfortable and well laid out cabin. It had everything we were looking for (and more): pet friendly (fenced yard and large corner lot), internet, fireplace, hot tub, well equipped kitchen, comfy beds, generous supply of towels, pillow, and blankets, flat screen TVs in every room, great selection of DVD's (we laughed @ the similarities between our collections), washer and dryer (fabulous to have), dishwasher, and humidifiers in each room (mountain air is very dry and these were lifesavers!). Don't fret if you forget any toiletries...they are in both bathrooms. We loved the "family time" on the HUGE sectional sofa & felt like we were in our own home. Thanks Shaun, we had a GREAT trip and will return!
We had a group of 9 people that visited the cabin, great quiet neighborhood with lots to do. We all slept with plenty of room, were able to cook/go outdoors etc. When we arrived though the people before us had obviously been doing shots as there was salt/lemons all over and the hot tub was extremely dirty. Overall though, great cabin, fully equipped, decent location to the lake etc. We had a really good stay, thank you!
I spent a birthday wknd here with friends and had a blast! The house literally had everything we needed and more, including extra fishing poles! There were lots of spices and condiments, which was great, as we grilled a lot! the only minor issue we had was a leak in the bbq grill hose, but we were able to replace it, and the owner gladly reimbursed us for it. the beds are super comfy, and there are ceiling fans in the bedrooms, which kept us super cool...and the jacuzzi was awesome at night. my puppy loved the yard, and it was nice to be able to let him roam. :) the airport noise was not a problem, as there were not many planes going by. oh yea, i highly recommned the mexican place right across the street for breakfast burritos! :) i would definitely stay here again, possibly a snowboarding trip in the winter! thx for everything!
We had a wonderful time up in Big Bear and the cabin definitely completed the experience. I loved how everything was so clean and there were many pots/pans/dishes available to use when we cooked our food. The propane tank was empty and almost immediately was told we would be reimbursed if we got it refilled which was very much appreciated! The surrounding neighborhood doesn't look too good so we were worried at first, but this cabin definitely stuck out amongst the surrounding houses (phew)! I've rented out many cabins before, but I must say this was a very easy, affordable, and nice cabin to get. I would hands down recommend this place for any of you looking for a nice get away! Thanks again and hope to book future cabins with you in the future!!
