The Gladwin area is surrounded by state forest land that is great for Deer Hunting and all types of outdoor activities. Gladwin and the cities/counties in the area abound with hiking, biking, x-country, snowshoe and ORV/ATV trails. there are 3-4 downhill ski/recreation areas also. There is an abundance of lakes and beaches.
