Hello David, just to say we had a great holiday! Villa met all expectations, for us just what we enjoy. Must say surprised how quiet it was in that area, apart from week enders, had the place and the pool almost to ourselves, couldn't be better! Tried a restaurant or two, much of a sameness we think, but you do get good cooking at very cheap prices. We really liked Foz, so ate and drank down by the beach. Weather quite confusing at times, morning misty and cloud then hot sun, once again just fine. The Italian restaurant in Caldas was closed during our stay, not too surprising as we found a bit of Porto closed as well, tried to watch Lion's game, you recommended an Irish Pub, but that was closed as well, they must have known we were coming! Both liked Porto, as long as you are quite fit. Stayed at Quality Inn at Praca da Batalha (there are 2 in Porto). Excellently located for most of the sights and the tour bus stops outside the hotel. Rooms spacious, well presented and brekkers included , which, again, was generous. If you pre-book we paid 70 euros a night, good value for Porto, most importantly, staff very helpful, again just the job. One small point, I think Rene, my wife, would have liked a hair dryer, but that apart, as mentioned had a great time. Kindest regards, Bruce & Rene
Hi David Just to say we had another lovely family holiday in apartment Christina this year. We love the area and those beautiful views! Just one small tip for anyone else who may be arriving at the airport for the first time... Again there seemed to be long queues for car hire. We minimised our wait by arranging for one of us to go through customs as soon as we got off the plane, in order to get in the queue early. My husband went first, and I followed with the children once we had collected our luggage. There was still a wait, but not quite so long... Best wishes Susie and Andrew
Hi David, it was really nice to meet you when you popped round during our stay. The villa was perfect and the view stunning! We had a brilliant two weeks and did loads of sight-seeing; we absolutely loved that area and will definitely be back. Best wishes Sian & Phil Harrison
