As an alternative to a simple hotel room, this condo offers an entirely different vacation experience. It will be like having your own private home, directly on a lovely Caribbean beach. Imagine your own private balcony that overlooks a turquoise ocean, with a beautiful coral sand beach directly below you. This is not just a pretty view. You are ON the Beach! The unobstructed 180 degree view is breathtaking. The sliding doors in the living room open completely to your private balcony, so the beach becomes part of your living area. The living room and dining area are spacious, and provide lots of room for entertaining, or just relaxing. The living room sofa is a queen sized futon and opens into a queen sized bed, so the condo can accommodate 4 adults. The kitchen is a separate room Instead of going "out" to eat for every meal, you can cook "in" if you prefer, as you have a complete kitchen, with everything you need to prepare gourmet meals. The bedroom is a separate room as well with a large walk-in closet, and bathroom attached. The bedroom has a large sliding picture window that faces the ocean, so at night, with the window open, you'll feel like you are lying on the beach, and the sound of the waves will lull you to sleep. The bed is Queen sized with an extra thick mattress. There is a Pack 'N Play available for younger children. The condo comes furnished with all linens, towels, kitchen equipment, stereo, CD player, tape deck, flat screen cable TV, VCR/DVD, Wi-Fi Wireless Cable, Ipod/Iphone plug in, air conditioner, and many other amenities. All you need to bring are your clothing and music. The Condo is in Condado, on the beach, next to the Marriott and a 10 minute drive/ taxi ride from San Juan airport (Muniz Marin) or a 10 min Taxi from the cruise ship docks. If you are not familiar with Condado Beach area, it is perhaps the most popular, and well maintained, beach in Puerto Rico. The condo " Stella Maris" is on the beach, facing the ocean, and 4 floors up (the building has an elevator). The building is very secure. The property is fully enclosed and gated. A key is required to enter the compound as well as the lobby. The elevator also is keyed which will only open to your specific floor. There is a Laundry room on the ground floor of the building with coin operated washers and dryers (cost is $2.00 per wash).

We have stayed in ocean view rooms in resorts and hotels before, but we never experienced being this close. It truly is a remarkably unique stay at a perfect price. The moment you open those sliding doors, the ocean envelops you with sound and sight like no other room we have stayed in before. The room was equipped with everything you could need including numerous amenities that were not mentioned. We spent hours just sitting on the porch, watching the sun come up, and the waves crashing below. Location is everything and I don’t think it’s possible to be in a better one in all of San Juan. There are numerous restaurants, casinos, bars, and clubs in each direction. The beach is perfect as it is situated a bit by itself so it doesn’t get crowded like the other beaches we visited. The condo is incredibly secure and so is the area. At dusk, there is plenty of patrol along the main strip in Condado (one block) and even an ATV along the beach. The process of renting was quick and easy with Fred and the mailed rental info packet with the keys walked us through any question we could have had.
My boyfriend and I recently stayed at this condo and had a wonderful time. The view and location, right on the beach, were worth every penny and the location was convenient for walking to a variety of good restuarants. The condo had everything we needed (beach chairs/towels, coffee maker, wine glasses, as well as anything you would need for cooking meals) and we felt very safe there. Fred was very responsive to any questions prior to and while on our trip. As others have mentioned, there is a Walgreens nearby for essentials along with a handy bodega down the street. The condo was clean and perfect for two people although it was not as modern or updated as a Mariott room would be. One of our top priorities in looking for a place was a view/balcony directly facing the beach and this condo was very reasonable when compared to the hotel offerings.
My Girlfriend and I had an amazing time staying here in March and would love to return someday. You really can't get a better deal for the price, and would likely end up paying 3 times the rate to get a room with a beach view from any of the big hotels nearby. The apartment came fully furnished which was very helpful to us budget-conscious travelers who took advantage of the kitchen to cook some meals and save money we normally would be spending at the nearby restaurants. We were also very conveniently provided with some beach chairs, towels and umbrellas, letting us pack light and still relax comfortably on the beach. Getting there was very easy, our taxi-driver from the airport instantly knew the Stella Maris when we gave him the address. Even more convenient was getting back to the airport as the building is right across the road from the Marriott's Taxi-stand where there were taxis available all day. Location is perfect, just around the block from the biggest drugstore/grocery store in the Condado area. Right next door to the Marriott, so you can easily take a dip in their pool if you want a change of pace from swimming in the Atlantic or want to spend some money in the Casino. The bed was positioned so that it faced the giant-window and view of the beach, and you're close enough to the water than the sounds of the waves will lull you to sleep at night. You'll have a hard time transitioning back to the real world after waking up in the morning to that amazing view of the beach and the Atlantic ocean. All in all a great place to stay at a budget-friendly price.
The condo has everything you need and more. The view is spectacular and the location is perfect! Check-in was easy and the owner is great to work with.
Fred was very kind, Property was as described. Can not be closer to the beach, and close to all other services, restaurants stores ect. We enjoided the beach, the only thing I can say about the renral is tha the mattress would need to be replaced. France & Denis Montreal, Quebec
Just bring your bathing suit, sun block, and a few DVD's. This condo is located right on the beach with a balcony overlooking the ocean. It is very nicely furnished and comes complete with everything you'll need. No shabby, tattered bed linens or towels. No run down furniture. Everything is spot on. The building is safe, well run and quiet. The beach is a few feet from the front gate and Ashford Ave. is on the corner. Couldn't ask for more. Beats any guest house or hotel. Owner is very helpful and takes good care of the condo.
We went to relax and to escape January winter weather in Wisconsin. Everything was as Fred described and we found it very comfortable. Best of all was the location immediately on the beach but also close to some stores and the bus line that runs straight to Old San Juan for just 75 cents. As advertised, the condo is just minutes from the airport. We recommend the Saturday buffet and all day pool pass at the Marriott next door for somewhat luxurious change of pace. Restaurants were all around us, including some very good ones right nearby (found through TripAdvisor) and others a short bus trip away in Old San Juan. No service was necessary but Sam showed up to give us extra sheets and towels. Next time we will book some tours but this was time to relax and also to play in the surf which was a treat.
