My family of 5 stayed at the LBL for a week in July. We thoroughly enjoyed it. We were at first impressed with the upkeep, and also with the many upgrades. The PM team was extremely helpful as well. Our stay was perfect and the kids loved "their" cabin. So close to shopping and adventures like the ski resort and zoo, although we had plenty to do, even without leaving the cabin! We will definitely be back and look forward to the LBL again! Thanks so much! Lucky Bear lodge is exactly the type of place you would envision staying at in the mountains. Place has it all fun, relaxation, cozy, amenities and great great location. We had a blast going out and biking, hiking, the lake and just hanging out at Lucky Bear. The back deck has a great view and is so relaxing. Our family staying outside almost the whole time playing games, BBQing and just relaxing. The kids had a blast in the lower level all by themselves playing foosball, pool and watching movies. My husband and I took our three girls and some friends to the mountain for a weekend. The cabin was accurately described on the website and fit the group of eight perfectly. The game room, which was located on the very bottom floor, was better than I'd hoped. There was a "wet bar", large bathroom, a stereo for them to plug their iphone into and the game tables and TV. They loved it and had a great time! The hot tub and deck were great for relaxing. The kitchen was small but well appointed and very much appreciated. The game room has a "double" size futon and twin size bunk beds and easily sleeps four. There are two bedrooms upstairs which slept two people each. The beds were nicely made but a little soft for our taste. The bathrooms (there were two) seemed newly refreshed/remodeled and were large and clean. We liked the homey touches and really felt like we were "at home" in the cabin. The location was away from the busy down-town but close enough that the stores etc. were a close drive. We all really enjoyed our stay. Recommended for: Girls Getaway, Families with Teenagers

we rented through DESITINATION BIG BEAR and stayed in the cabin named lucky bear lodge. we had great communication with the staff, they were very helpful in finding a cabin that was just right for us. have to say, the game room rocks in this cabin.
