Clean and comfortable at an affordable price. Our quiet oceanside resort, pool view condo is in the very best location right in the heart of Kailua-Kona. Open our Ali'i Drive private tropical garden gate, take just a few steps, and you are where the action is! No need to drive everywhere - you are downtown! Whether it is shopping, restaurants, the famous Kona Ironman Kailua Pier or visiting the museum at King Kamehameha's historic Hulihe'e Palace, it's all right there within an easy stroll from your fully furnished condo! The tranquil property has Hawaiian plantation architecture and lush tropical gardens including banana and papaya trees. Our meandering flower-lined paths lead you from our condo right to our own sandy, sunning beach just across the narrow beach road - bring a book and a beach mat. Dine at a different restaurant every night or have a romantic dinner on our second floor condo lanai overlooking the tiki torch-lit pool and beautiful plumeria trees. Our comfortable air-conditioned condo comes equipped with a induction cooker, an electric skillet, coffee makers, toaster, microwave oven, rice cooker/veggie steamer, pasta maker and a large 2-door fridge/freezer, dishes and cutlery for four. Your condo was very clean upon arrival and had such a warm welcoming feel. We felt very much at home. Your kitchen was so cute and with the large fridge it was so great to be able to go shopping at the market & costco and be able to buy food for more than a day or so use. Your microwave, deep electric frying pan and steamer were well used and was just great for cooking everything. Your kitchen is very well equipped and 3 people were able to work (co-ordinately) in it. Your bathroom is also very nice and was very clean.. We really liked the condo layout and your bed and pull out bed were very comfortable. We enjoyed our coffee and breakfast in the morning on your lani looking out to the wonderful plumeria trees and the pool area. The grounds are maintained so well and are so beautiful. Our dinners were so peaceful and we enjoyed sitting out on the lani at night watching the tiki torches being lit and watching the sun set.. we were in paridise for sure. You have all the things we needed for the beach. We really appreciated the beach chairs and other goodies and the cooler too. Your flat screen TV was also watched lots, with the games in London, we would come home after an awesome day at the beach or shopping and then get caught up on the games. (from the livingroom area or the lani) It is so nice to see modern upgrades in the condo. All in all I would and will recommend your condo to my friends and family and others reading these comments. I hope to be back soon and stay in your condo. We all had a super time.

The location is perfect, the staff friendly and helpful, the residents neighborly, the pool immaculate and the studio clean, stocked with all sorts of necessities and amenities. Guest: Steve(Monterey, CA USA) We arrived the afternoon of 8 Jun 2012. Condo was clean and everything was in perfect order. Our location was fantastic. We were within walking distance of many shops and eateries in Kona. We spent many nights on the balcony eating dinner we prepared at the condo with the hotplate. Doesnt sound like much but the hotplate worked perfectly! We used the microwave as well and really did not suffer any inconvenience preparing food. The flora adorning the condo complex is fantastic! You feel as though you are in a tropical paradise! We used the front desk for signing up for trips (fishing and snorkeling with the dolphins). My wife used the laundry facility once and it was a snap! We definitely recommend this unit for anyone interested in the west side of Hawaii stays!

Guest: The Surfer Dudes and Surfer Girls - B.C. - Canada Our family of four, 2 adults, 2 school age children, stayed here and loved it. The condo overlooks the pool and gardens. It is just lovely at night - all the tiki torches lit up makes for a great atmosphere. We enjoyed sitting on the lanai in the evening, relaxing together while the children slept. The bathroom was newly redone and the condo was very clean. The kitchenette came with everything we needed - coffee maker, electric frying pan, toaster etc. The kids, well all of us actually, enjoyed the pool very much - and I enjoyed the comfy poolside chaise loungers! But, the best part of this condo is truly the location. It is within walking distance of so much. There were many days when the rental car stayed in the parking lot. We had friends who stayed about 30 mins away down the Kohala coast in Waikoloa and they were envious of how close we were to everything! We can’t wait to return!

While small, the location, gardens and facilities of the Islander Inn are big advantages. There are many suites in the Islander than have not been renovated but this unit has had many upgrades. Canada) Date of Stay: 03/27/12 Review Submitted Excellent location beautiful plantation property in the heart of Kona with access onto the seafront and all the amenities in walking distance. Studio apartment was well maintained with a magnifcent view overlooking the pool and lush plants, relaxing on the lanai in the evening was spectacular with the tiki torches adding a romantic ambience. My husband and l enjoyed the peaceful feeling of the complex and all the amenities such as pool hot tub barbaque and laundry facilities also convienent location to some fine dining and local markets. this was our first visit to Kona we had a memorable relaxing time and will definitely return and highly recommend this property to our friends and relatives Mahalo Ernie and Sharon Owner response:Sharon and I are very pleased that you found relaxing on the lanai in the evening was spectacular. We feel that our condo is without a doubt the best-positioned of all to take maximum advantage of the view of the exotic setting in this peaceful place. And yet, it probably remains as the condo with the most privacy of all. You also mentioned to us that "the magnificent Hawaiian plantation setting of the Kona Islander Condominiums is much preferred to the settings of the big hotels that were viewed here on the kona coast."
