Quiet, modern cottage(1224 sq ft) with two bedrooms and a roll away. Hardwood floors throughout provide an allergen free environment. Roomy, one bath(tub/shower combo) with washing machine, private deck, gas grill, pets are welcome and please smoke outside. We have provided all you need but your groceries (toaster, coffee maker and coffee, pots and pans, microwave, disher washer, direct tv, internet). Towels and linen are also provided as well as a hair dryer, alarm clock and an iron.Swimming, fishing and boat launching or rentals are nearby. We are not on the water but minutes away. We are 6 miles from Ellsworth and about 30 miles from Acadia (Bar Harbor) and Bangor, Maine. References are available from our visitors log. Pets are welcome, we charge $10 per night.

Very comfortable and relaxing with all the comforts of home. The owners are wonderful "true" Maine folk!!! They are friendly and accommodating. With huge windows overlooking blueberry fields, hummingbirds and friendly pets on the grounds, you won't be disappointed here. I feel blessed to have found it and to have been able to stay for the entire week.
Like the other reviewers, we had a terrific time. The cottage is lovely and comfortable, Cindy and Galen are terrific hosts, and the surrounding area is gorgeous. Highly recommend.
We stayed at Hummingbird cottage from 8/6/11 - 8/13/11 and absolutely loved it! Our hosts, Cindy and Galem, are very pleasant and easy going. The cottage is beautiful. The decor is very tasteful, all the furniture is comfortable, and the kitchen is very well stocked. The views from the many windows are incredible. The deck is large and has a nice table that we sat at to play games. We can't give this property enough glowing accolades!!!! Thanks for a wonderful vacation!!!!
the hummingbird hideaway was the perfect maine getaway experience. the beautiful cottage lacked nothing . the website pics are good but you cant appreciate just how lovely it is until you are there ! it was spacious and very clean and stocked with all you need. the setting is private and yet close to all - bar harbor , acadia etc. the owners cindy and galen could not have been nicer. it was a thoroughly enjoyable time .
