There is a 9 hole golf course at Mortmart, 30 mins away and an 18 hole course at St Junien, approx. 1 hour away. Le Sauguillon is 40 mins North of Limoges airport and 90 mins South of Poitiers airport who are both serviced by budget airlines. Such a fantastic week at a lovely property - truly a home from home, extremely comfortable and beautifully appointed. With 2 young children we had been concerned that the area may be a little remote, but far from it. There are shops and retaurants nearby, and Bellac (approx. 20 mins drive away) is a lovely picturesque town with lots to see and do. There are several good supermarkets to choose from, boulangeries/patisseries and one of the best swimming pools we visited in France - 3 separate pools, including a baby pool and a variety of slides. There is also a lovely play area down by the river in Bellac. Also, close by is Le Dorat, a pretty little village with cafes and a cinema. The owners of the property were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely re-visit. Highly recommended.
