Four of us stayed at this lovely Villa with a sandy beach right out the front gate. A quiet and relaxing location with shops and restaurants. The home was very spacious and was equipped with everything you could need for cooking, outdoor activities and modern conveniences such as TV and wi-fi. The owner was wonderful to deal with and our arrangements went very smoothly. It was wonderful to look out and see dolphins swimming by in the ocean-a real highlight!
Now that my wife and I been back. It was our second stay at Villa Playa Del Faro, we’ve been there in October 2010. For our second time I know that Villa Playa Del Faro is a very special place. It was wonderful to see that after a year had passed, that nothing had changed at Villa Playa Del Faro, only positive things that had been added a details that no body will think about but you take care of small details to let us feel better, oh yes, you added high speed-internet (Wi-Fi). Having satellite television (US & Canadian) and an internet connection also allows us to stay connected with friends and family. We had such a great time relaxing at the villa, playing on the beach, visiting Merida, a lot of Mayans ruins in the region, cenotes and walking into town. It was just as beautiful, just as private and every bit as wonderful as when we were there last year. The property was very clean, well maintained, and has all the amenities listed in excellent working order. The photos do not really do the property justice as it is even more spacious and welcoming than the photos depict. I can tell you that Telchac Puerto is a unique place in terms of safety, amenities and overall charm and character. The only thing that could have improved our stay is if we booked for 2 weeks rather than 9 days. Thanks again Imad and we hope that we will be back next year to your paradise but this time with our new born baby.
Imad, we (my husband, my 2 kids and I) have greatly appreciated our stay (28 days) in your beautiful Villa. Waw! the ocean, the color of the water and what a view. Everything was well organized and super nice and thank you for everything. As a "girl", I appreciated the new towels, new dishes, linens, etc. .. hihi. Also, the selection of films has been very successful in the evenings. nothing negative to report. We left with full of memories and with a hint of jealousy about you. You have a good investment.
Hola Imad, We had a wonderful stay in your villa. We spent a great 1 month at your place. Yvonne and Gary are very helpful. Gary talked a lot with us and my boy who speaks good Spanish. We've done about 4000 km in the Yucatan .... Everything went well. My wife and I have nothing to add, the villa are very well.thank's again for this amazing vacation. Hi Imad, A quick note to tell you that we spend a very nice trip at your villa. We (my wife, 2 kids and I) travel around 2000 KM with the rented car in the Yucatan, what a safe state, and there is so many things to visit, 1 month is not enough for us. The villa was absolutely beautiful and clean, we’ve been for people in it and we had so much space. The High speed Internet work great, it was very fast and fun to spend some time at the upper patio with the laptop and the WI-FI work great. Your proprety manager Ivonne seems to do a great job, she was attentive and easy to work with, if need anything we can call her. Gary (the pool caretaker) is very nice and gentle, he came every day to check the swimming pool. It was very clean. We went to Motul and saw a Corrida, Waw!! We went fishing with a boat in the sea, fantastic. It was a very funny to see all the flamingos flying back and forth just in front of the Villa. Sorry for the delay in providing you with feedback on your place. We are just being severely punished for taking time off! We absolutely loved the house. It was perfect for us. It was very well thought out and anything we needed was available. The deck off the master bedroom overlooking the ocean was excellent. We sat out every night and enjoyed the view. We were never bothered by anyone which was exactly what we wanted for our experience. We have been traveling to Mexico for a very long time and this was our first visit to the Gulf side. The water on the Gulf side was pretty calm. That could all be from the weather the week we were there and could change from week to week. We don't really know. Gary kept the pool really clean. We would definitely recommend the house and the location to others. It was really relaxing and enjoyable.
Yikes...Imad...I am so sorry I have not replied before now. I was cleaning out my emails and discovered this one from you. We been swamped since we returned. We've had illness and then a death in his family, work is crazy and so much more. Villa Playa del Faro, in the sleepy village of Telchac Puerto was a vacation dream. We spent a month at the house from mid January to mid February in 2011 and loved every minute of it. The view from the pool deck out to the Gulf of Mexico was beautiful and at night, with a full moon it was so romantic! The house was more than we needed. It is furnished very nicely and so well eguipped - right down to a lime juicer and blender for the margaritas!!!! We love to cook and with the great shopping we had in both Progresso and Merida, we were able to cook some amazing meals and enjoy them in the dining room, looking out on the pool and the ocean with music from our IPod wafting through the house. We had lovely bedding, towels and the cleaning service that was excellent. We had rented car so the location for us was just fine. We toured ruins and villages close by and made day trips to the flamingos in the mangroves, downtown historical Merida and great restaurants in Progresso and Merida. Imad, the owner, kept in touch with us and made sure we had everything we needed. It was also very easy to set up the booking with him through email. I can highly recommend Villa Playa del Faro for a great winter vacation. Be sure to rent a car!
It was our first experience with that kind of vacation. Indeed, we're more the type of all included vacation. Well, I was very surprised and impressed with the quality of the villa. First, the villa has just been finished so everything is brand new inside and outdoor. The furniture and all the accessories are beautiful and very practical. EVERYTHING is included... You just need your bathing suit and your personal belongings. The concept of the villa is also very practical so that the kitchen, the living room, the dinette and a bathroom are on the first floor. On the second floor are the two bedrooms, one with a queen size bed and the second one with two queen size beds. Both rooms are equiped with their own private bathroom with a huge shower. Also important, the pressure of the water have been increased by the installation of an additional pump which offered us more comfort during our stay. The air conditioned was not necessary since we let both patio doors opened on the second floor overnight. The owner told us that Telchac Puerto was a very secure place and he is so right. We enjoyed walking on the beach and in the village at night without beeing bothered or afraid. Indeed, people were waving at us and saying that warm «HOLA», always smiling. It's a beautiful and peaceful place. We really appreciated the quality of wireless internet. There was no problem in using two lap top at the same time and the response was very fast. We could also enjoy talking to the family on our computers with SKYPE. If you want to do so, just download SKYPE and buy that equipment that allows you to do it before you leave. The outdoor place in the back, facing the ocean is very cute and includes a nice heated swimming pool. Every two or three days, the janitor comes and takes care of it so you don't have anything to do... The also was a cellular phone available for us with the names of all important responsables programmed inside. We just had to buy minutes at a stroe a few blocks away. At about 45 minutes drive, we were able to get all we needed at COSTCO in Merida. It's a big city and we found many restaurants and stores like WALMART and SAM'S CLUB. Close to the villa, little groceries allowed us to find lots of usual food. We were really impressed by the quality of the place and by the kindness of the people that we met. We enjoyed our stay and are planing to go back next year. In my case, all included vacation is over... Thank you!
We just returned from our holiday in Villa Playa Del faro at Telchac Puerto and we can't stop talking about what a wonderful time we had. The location is perfect for both an active and relaxing vacation because there are so many great things to do (Uxmal, Merida, Cenotes,) Villa Playa Del Faro was perfect for us, we barely used the AC because the ceiling fans and open windows combined with the almost constant fresh breeze kept the whole house wonderfully cool. Having the beach right there is honestly nothing short of perfect. We went to the great local restaurants at the central beach. Falling asleep to the sound of the gulf of Mexico and waking up to the sound of little birds made for fantastic sleep and I guess I just can't say enough about it. Go!
We had a wonderful time in September 2010. We had a very detailed driving instructions as we were arriving in the evening after dark. The instruction was very helpful with things to do in the area. We (2 adults) stayed in the Villa playa del Frao for 1 week. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. We especially enjoyed the patio and the balcony from the master bedroom with sunset . The long walks on the beach were very pleasant. The people of Telchac are very friendly and helpful, in fact all the people from Merida, Progresso as well that helped with directions etc. If you are looking for a quiet place at the end of a busy day, somewhere close for day excursions or a chance to experience the real Mexico, this is a place to go!! We will return again to this paradise place.
