My wife and I brought our baby for a one-week stay at the 2-bedroom Keiki Vacation Rental Home on the North Shore of Oahu. The location is ideal for surfing, hiking along the path, and relaxing outdoors. The owners are a warm, nice friendly couple who allow renters plenty of privacy. The kitchen is clean and spacious and well stocked. The beds are large, and there is plenty of closet space. Several beach going amenities are made available upon request which makes it easier to travel light. The owner even set up a crib for our baby. There is beautiful artwork hanging on the walls, and we coud hear the waves crashing on the shoreline at night. Our vacation experience was safe and relaxing and peaceful. We would certainly recommend Ke Iki to friends and family and interested travelers.
Kathy & Jim were great they helped us whenever we needed them. Our place was so clean and big! We felt at home with all the space we had. The beds were great and bedrooms large. We used the front deck all the time and grilled out for dinner. It was great having the store close by and Sharks Cove and Ted's Bakery. Everything was so convenient that we could spend all day on the beautiful beach right down the path and watch the spectacular waves. At night we went to sleep listening to the big waves thunder and crash on shore. It was so relaxing. We truly felt refreshed after two weeks there and hated to leave our new found paradise. The beach was so great, not crowded and we felt like it was ours. We will be back if we can and we will stay here again!
Kathy greeted us and is a wonderful, friendly person. We very much enjoyed talking to her when we checked in. The property is amazing. Comfy beds. Lots of living space inside and out. Beautiful artwork on the walls. Wonderfully creative use of space. We cook in-home a lot as I have some food allergies and it's just easier than trying to eat out and the kitchen had pretty much everything we needed. Foodland is nearby for groceries and there is a farmer's market at Waimea Valley for local fresh produce. There were beach chairs, towels, umbrellas (we left one that we picked up when we were in Waikiki at Costco. There were just the 3 of us (all adults), but if you have small kids there would be plenty of room for them, too. Just steps to the beach! We spent Jan 28-Feb 5, 2013 there. I can tell you that the next time we head to Oahu and the North Shore I will be calling on Kathy to see if this unit is available again! We really loved it all...the location, the property, the owners...just everything about it was great! Can't wait to go back!!
This apartment resides in a convenient location right off the highway and the house is nearly on the beach. A short trail opens up to a magnificent beach. The apartment is nice, clean and cozy. The full kitchen and outside BBQ was great to have. The owners were fantastic, friendly and very helpful. Parking on the street was limited so it was great to have our own driveway at the apartment for parking the rental car. We highly recommend this place to our family and friends visiting Oahu.
We LOVED this condo! Clean, cool and very comfortable. It was the perfect, quiet spot SO close to the beach! We arrived our first night after dark and I thought it was thundering. Turned out to be the massive waves crashing on the beach just down the path! Comfortable beds, TV, living room, Kitchen, big bathroom with vaulted ceilings. The beach is AMAZING! Just a few seconds walk down a little path and you are on the most beautiful beach. Far enough from the tourist spots to be more private & less crowded. The waves were incredible! This location is on the sunnier side of the island & the view of the mountains is so beautiful from the beach. We loved that the grocery & Starbucks were a 2 minute drive and many other North Shore beaches were close. Teds Bakery just up the highway a little farther north is INCREDIBLE! Famous for their pies & garlic shrimp, it was our favorite meal to grab & eat on the beach. A little drive into Haleiwa and you have the BEST shaved ice! We drove all over the island, saw nearly every beach including Waikiki & Ko Olina and this beach was by far our favorite. Owners were great to work with and we had no problems whatsoever. We are already planning to go back!
The home was very well taken care of and right next to the pathway that leads into the beach. At night, you can hear the waves crash and it's a peaceful atmosphere. My wife and I stayed here because of the sole reason that it's away from all the tourist traps. I simply wanted serenity and peace and quiet. On occassion, you will find a few bugs but it's expected especially in the location. I plan on returning next year and would highly recommend renting from Kathy...she's a total sweetheart and makes you feel at ease when leasing her place.
My husband and I decided to treat our mom's to a warm vacation to North Shore Oahu. We found this fabulous place on a walking path to the beach and our expectations were exceeded in every way. The place was comfortable and immaculate, the owners were delightful and the location was perfect for our beach 'hangtime' needs. It was close to funky little beach villages where we could dine if we chose to. The kitchen was well stocked with the necessary equipment so we could cook with local ingredients which was a huge benefit for us. We would return to this lovely dwelling and location again in a heartbeat. You won't be disappointed if you decide to make this your vacation destination.
