$500/week, $95/night (3 night minimum): 2 bedroom - Deerton Guest House (Deerton, MI) Comfortable two bedroom rental guest house by the Laughing Whitefish River, 23 miles west of Munising or 10 miles west of AuTrain in Alger County in the Central Upper Peninsula of Michigan midway between Munising and Marquette. We are about 5 minutes from Deer Lake, an excellent swimming lake and about 12 minutes from sandy AuTrain Beach on Lake Superior. Deerton Guest House is a fully furnished two-bedroom upper level lodging by the Laughing Whitefish River. There is an open concept living area with a free standing gas fireplace, a satellite TV with DVD player, and wireless internet. The complete kitchen has full sized appliances including a dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, and cooking and eating utensils. There is a double bed and a twin bed in each bedroom and a bathroom with a shower. We have an inflatable mattress available if needed. Sleeps up to 6 guests. Linens, towels, and paper products are provided for our guests. There is a large deck off the living area with a picnic table for relaxing after a busy day enjoying the beauty of the surrounding woods and water. A gas grill is provided for cookouts. There is a large parking area for boat, snowmobile, and ATV trailers. Enjoy the sounds of the Laughing Whitefish River from the newly constructed, screened-in, sixteen-sided gazebo. The guest house is conveniently located only 50 yards from the Laughing Whitefish River for excellent steelhead, salmon, and trout fishing in the spring and fall or you can go charter fishing on Lake Superior with charters in Shelter Bay, only a few miles from the cottage.
