Come enjoy our 2500+ square foot 4 bedroom 2.5 bath home. Our house comfortably sleeps 10 and is located in a small neighborhood of custom homes across the street from Carlsbad State beach. It is on a quiet residential cul-de-sac with no through traffic and has a private enclosed backyard complete with a built-in gas fire-pit and an outdoor shower! Cook your meals in the fully stocked custom kitchen or barbeque on the Weber gas grill in the back yard. The family room has a beautiful river rock fireplace and is a wonderful space to gather for games or watch movies. Enjoy unlimited netfilx with Blueray/dvd/cd/iPod, and free wireless internet. The garage has been converted into a playroom with a playhouse, toys, games, and a foosball table. All four bedrooms have new pillowtop mattresses and bedding. There are three queen beds, one king bed and two queen sofa sleepers. There is also an Aero mattress and crib available upon request. There are four high definition televisions throughout the home. Many local attractions are within a short drive from our property. Out the back gate of our neighborhood you can take the train to downtown San Diego with stops in Old Town, Solana Beach, and more. Conveniently located near the 5 freeway, you can fly into the San Diego Airport (35 mins), or Palomar Airport (5 minutes away with connections to all major airports). It is important to us that the house is clean, comfortable, and well equipped, and most of all that you and your family enjoy your vacation!

I had the most relaxing time in this beautiful house. Joined two longtime friends who I hadn't seen in years for a girl's getaway and spent hours on the most comfortable couch in front of the fireplace, drinking our coffee and talking about old times. The playroom made us wish we had brought the kids! We made good use of the fire-pit and weber grill and were so comfortable we almost didn't want to leave the house. I usually have trouble sleeping in a strange place but the beds are amazing and truly the only problem we had was trying to decide which of the beautifully decorated rooms we wanted to sleep in! Jeff and Kim have done an outstanding job addressing every detail and have really made this vacation house a "home away from home”. I highly recommend this property and can't wait to stay here again.
Our family had a wonderful time in Carlsbad. Jeff and Kim have a lovely vacation home that truly felt like a home away from home. We really appreciated their warm hospitality and the personal touches that they added for our stay. The play room was well loved by our two young children and the rest of the home was spacious and immaculate. We enjoyed spending time in the lovely backyard and the location couldn't have been any better! We were close to the beach, the outlet shopping and legoland. All of our needs were met above and beyond our expectations. Thank you Jeff and Kim for the great holiday! We look forward to returning soon.
We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely home. Needing to get away from the snow for a while, this property provided the perfect get-away. Jeff and Kim have paid attention to every detail, creating an atmosphere that is both elegant and comfortable. The house has an open and inviting floor plan, filled with pleasant decorations and furniture that draw you in. In the morning, I snuggled up on the couch with my coffee. It was so comfy I almost didn't want to leave for the beach! The beds are ridiculously comfortable; I slept so well. And the room I slept in overlooked a garden behind the property, with clear views. The kitchen is fully stocked, and it's organized intuitively. You don't have to spend 15 minutes searching for everything. The house comes with Netflix and wireless internet, which was a nice touch. We made use of the grill outside, and the fire pit was most welcome on one of the chillier nights. They've printed out easy-to-follow instructions for both the grill and fire pit. There weren't any children in our party, but I can imagine how nice the play room would be. I really appreciated the location too. It's close to everything - the freeway and train - but it's on a residential street that is very quiet. While the house is perfect for families with children, I'd also recommend it to couples or adult families. The beach across the street is nice in that it wasn't too crowded, but it's a beautiful spot with plenty of sand and gorgeous views. I would definitely recommend this vacation home.
We have stayed at a significant number of rental properties and this one ranks right at the top of the list! The house was very clean, well maintained, the owners were wonderful, and the location was great! Would recommend this property to anyone!!! Our kids loved the playroom and we loved the fun backyard fire pit. All around 5 star experience!!
Myself and 3 of my lifetime friends stayed for 1 week and "caught up" after 30+ years. The house was great! So comfortable. Kim & Jeff provided us with absolutely all the comforts of home plus more. Every night we made a cozy fire and during the day we were off sight-seeing. The location was very centralized to all activities of the San Diego area we wanted to enjoy. Without a doubt I will be back and I have spread the word to many of my friends that this is the place to stay!
My wife and 2 kids (ages 5 and 2) were between homes and needed a place to stay for a few days. Although we reside in San Diego we thought a mini "Stay-cation" at the beach would be better than checking in to a hotel while our new home was being finished. This was the best decision we could have made! With short notice we were very lucky the home was available and the owners, Jeff & Kim, were more than hopitable. During such a stressful time for my family this home had all the comforts of home, but the luxury of a beach house. We felt it was the perfect compliment of being close to restaraunts, shopping, and theme parks; yet you are away from the hustle bustle at the same time. The pictures don't do justice to how beautiful the home is decorated. It has a very comfy feel which allows the stress to go away. Our kids love the playroom in the garage and the spacious floor plan. My wife could not stop telling me how beautiful the place was. Our experience is best described by my 5 year old daughter who on our last day said, "Daddy, can we just move here forever?"
What a great comfortable house with the perfect location. Close to Legoland and an easy drive to everything else in San Diego. Owners were great and made sure that we were comfortable and that our needs were met. We had five adults and four young children staying at the property and all had a great time. I highly recommend this property.
We took two of our daughters and their partners along with our two year old grandson to Carlsbad to celebrate a 30th birthday. The house couldn't have been more comfortable for us all. The photos of this property can't do it justice. It doesn't tell you how cosy the couch in the great room is or what a pleasant backyard it has. Kim and Jeff went the extra mile to accommodate our every need. We had requested a crib for our grandson but found childproofed electrical outlets and a little table and chair set in the great room as well !That attention to detail makes a house a home and we felt they understood our needs. Carlsbad is nicely located on the coast in easy driving distance to San Diego Zoo, Sea Life and shopping. The location of this home is at the quieter end of the beach with easy access at the corner. We enjoyed the sand and surf daily. We cooked most of our meals in the well equipped kitchen and used the BBQ frequently. We would not hesitate to come back here and could encourage any age of traveller to enjoy this property.
this carlsbad beach house was absolutely beautiful, immaculate and perfectly located. jeff and kim did a fantastic job at addressing every detail - from the comfort of the furniture and beds, to the quality of the linens and glassware, to the amenities for kids of all ages. we had searched and searched for a house to rent, having only come across uncooperative and unhelpful property owners. when we found jeff and kim, the process was smooth and delightful, and helped make our thanksgiving vacation perfect.
I rented this property for a few days at the end of January. The owner met me at the home in a timely manner to give us the keys and to give us a tour. She was very nice and let us know to give her a call whenever if we had any problems or questions. There was a book of helpful information and local activities as well which was very useful. The home is well furnished and absolutely beautiful with plenty of room for the 4 adults and 1 child that was with us. The playroom was a great addition to keep the kids busy while the adults catch up or cook. We also appreciated the normal condiments in the fridge and other stuff that was at our disposal. The train is just a short walk away if you want to get into the city and not drive ( we had a few drinks :) Thanks for a great stay in a beautiful home.
What a pleasure it was to stay at Jeff and Kim's vacation rental where we celebrated my birthday for a weekend with family. It was comfortable, clean and felt like a home away from home. The bedrooms were cozy and the beds very comfortable and clean. It was so nice just hanging out at the house that we spent a lot of time in it, however we did take a walk to the beautiful ocean to watch the sunset and loved having a fire pit in that back patio to make smores upon our return from the beach. Jeff and Kim were attentive and made sure all our needs were met while staying at their beautiful vacation rental. We highly recommend this house.
Jeff and Kim's vacation rental was a great family vacation home to escape the Canadian winter and enjoy the California sunshine. This was our first time staying at a vacation home rental and Jeff and Kim were a pleasure to deal with, quick to respond to our inquiries and went over and beyond expectations in meeting our needs while staying at the rental. The home is beautiful, welcoming and has a great family feel. There was adequate room for two families (two couple's and two toddler's) during our stay and the playroom is an amazing feature of the rental which provided endless fun and play for the children. The home is in a great location and it was reasonable driving distance to venture out and explore the San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park, Lego Land and shopping. Shops and grocery stores were close by, where we received friendly customer service. The home's close proximity to the beach was also a pleasant feature and it was only a short walking distance away. If we are ever in the area again we would not hesitate to come back to this vacation home and would highly recommend this place to others.
The house was incredible!! It was very clean, nicely decorated, spacious, great back yard with a firepit, and most importantly it had a playroom for the kids!!! It is in a great location-across the street from the beach, close to Legoland, outlet shops, and only 25 minutes to San Diego. The neighborhood is clean and quiet. The house has everything you need-they even have beach towels for you to use!! Jeff and Kim, the owners, were SO nice and very good people to work with. When we arrived there was a basket full of everything you need to make smores along with bubbles for the kids. So thoughtful!! We would reccomend this house to anyone-especially families with kids! We had a great time and can't wait to use the house again for our next visit!! We give it 5 stars!!!
We had so much fun at Jeff and Kim's vacation rental. They were so accommodating and very helpful. They really went out of their way to make us feel welcomed. The house was well equipped with everything you need, well-maintained and very clean. They do have a folder that's very helpful with alll the information you need to know. I would definitely recommend this house. Thank you for a great stay!
Our family had such a wonderful time. The location is ideal and the house has all of the comforts of home. My children loved the playroom. The house was very clean and well maintained and the owners were keen to make sure we were happy. We would definitely stay again.
What a great house. Jeff & Kim have made every effort for a vacationer to feel at home here. The playroom was AWESOME!!! Kiddos loved going in there every morning and commented several times about how great it was to have toys at the rental house. The walk to the beach was short and easy. Leaving the loyalty shopping cards for the grocery store and pharmacy was an exceptionally nice touch - as we did save quite a lot of money when stocking up supplies. The furnishings were very comfortable and you actually did feel right at home. A+.
We had the most fabulous time staying here in this beautiful home. The place was perfectly spotless, had everything you could possibly need, and was incredibly comfortable. With the kids completely entertained in the playroom (which was better than our playroom at home by far!), the adults could actually relax and won't be needing a vacation from our vacation. Doesn't that sound nice? We loved the easy access to the beach, the gas fire pit in the backyard, and the glorious beds! The owners were wonderful and made sure we felt right at home. We would recommend playing in the sand and surf, heading to Sea Life Park, taking a day trip to La Jolla, and make sure to eat at Swami's for breakfast! This really is the greatest place for a family and we are already trying to schedule our next trip back!
When I arrived I was greeted by Kim who was so gracious and hospitable. Showed me around the beautiful beach house and I felt right at home immediately. My biggest pet peeve is arriving to an unfamiliar place and not being clean, I was not let down, this was very tidy and clean. Relaxing outdoors by the firepit was so tranquil and one of my favorite of many things I did during my stay. I cannot wait to return, felt like a home away from home.
