Hi, We are coming here to relax each year for a 10 (?) years. First it was a weekend, then a long weekend and now a week. Enjoy the silence, the hot tub, wine tastings nearby. Lots of good food in the area. Just loving it
Hi, Our whole pack (my wife&me&2 Yorkies) enjoy each and every relaxing stay we have in the Stone Cottage. We are coming here now for several years and really find nothing that is missing. 100% recommended BTW nice wineries in the area
The Stone Cottage was such a lovely place with a GREAT view! Our favorite was the fireplace that made the cottage so nice and cozy for us. We (including the dog) enjoyed our stay so much that we plan to come back in the beginning of the new year!
What a wonderful stay at the cottage. From the first glance of the cottage, I knew that my boyfriend and I were going to have a quiet, relaxing weekend. The cottage itself was warm and welcoming. The patio became our favorite spot and we spent most of one of the afternoons relaxing on the patio and cooking on the grill. The best part was the walk to the creek. It was relaxing to sit on the shore and watch the fish and listen to the creek wind its way over the rocks. It was the perfect setting for my boyfriend to propose. Sitting on the observation deck in the evening watching the deer was mesmerizing. It was like our own little corner of the world. We can't wait to get back and bring the kids. We know that they would love being at the cottage as much as we did. Thanks Pat and Patty! PS Carl says thanks for the cookies. . .he ate ALL of them!!! They are the best!
We spent 5 nights at The Stone Cottage ... and we were not disappointed. It was an eclectic, rustic little place to call home and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. One of my favorite aspects of our stay was the song of the Whippoorwill. This tiny little bird would sing to us every night, and being from Colorado, it was a song I had never heard before. We returned to Palmerton for my husbands 42 1/2 year class reunion and this little cottage gave us the quiet and calm we are accustomed to at our cabin in Colorado. It truly did have everything we needed as far as ammenities, but it also had everything we needed to nourish our souls. The Stone Cottage will always hold a special place in our hearts. The house is beautiful and well maintained. The owner pat was great and answered all my questions. The location is unbeatable and we enjoyed everything about the stone cottage. We will be back as soon as we have time. Thank you Pat and Patty
Hi, When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised. The property was very clean and well prepared for us. It is situated very nicely on a hill and one can enjoy fabulous views from the eating area/ living room/ deck and out of the hot tub. The area looks ideal for hiking, but as snow fell we decided to enjoy the wood burning fireplace and the hot tub (a lot). All is very quiet and ideal for a getaway from a stressful daily routine. It is rustic enough to feel that you are in the country but not too rustic (> you still have all the amenities so you don't have to "suffer") Palmerton is a quick ride away and has all you need (grocery store, deli, restaurants, ....). BTW the cottage is well equipped you only need food and cloth everything else is provided (Towels, Lines, Paper products, ....) We are planning to stay here again (but this thime for a little longer so we can explore this beautiful area more).
OUR STAY WAS VERY PEACEFUL....THE VIEWS OF THE SURROUND WERE BEAUTIFUL WITH THE MOUNTAINS AND RIVER....... SETTING UP A COZY FIRE INSIDE AND ADDING A TOUCH OF WINE & MUSIC.........& COMES WHAT MAY AS WE RELAXED THROUGH THE MOMENTS......... A QUIET, PEACEFULL QUALITY TIME FOR TWO IN THE NIGHT, HAS BEEN CREATED ! AS DAWN APPROACHED, WE BEGAN THE DAY WITH A FINE COUNTRY BREAKFAST AND PERHAPS A TRAIL WALK AND/ OR A RIDE TO THE TOWN ! WE ENJOYED FEEDING THE WILD LIFE AND THROUGHOUT OUR STAY, LOOKING OUT FOR THEM ! BACK TO THE NIGHT; ( AS WE RELAX IN THE HOT TUB ) IT WAS EAGER TO ARRIVE AND VERY DIFFICULT TO PART !!!!
My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the the Stone Cottage on St Patricks Day weekend. It was everything we hoped it would be. The Cottage was clean and cozy. Everything we needed was there. We could tell a lot of though was put into the Cottage. It was nice to not have to bring everything except or food and clothing. We much enjoyed the hot tub and outdoor fire/BQ area. The views were great too. We will definitely be visting the Stone Cottage again. Thank you Pat & Patty! The Mystery Guest :)
Our stay was Awesome. A great place for our Honeymoon. We will be back.
The place was nice with a great fire place and great staff. The grill worked in perfect condition. Great amenities and the owners were extremely helpful. Would definitely stay again.
