Located in Gulfport's Arts District, this rental is two blocks from Beach Boulevard with shops, galleries, great restaurants, and music! This home is also within easy walking distance of the Gulfport Library, Senior Center, and Theatre. Less than two blocks away is Boca Ciega Bay, with beach, picnic pavilions, fishing pier, community center, walking track, ball field, playground, volleyball, and more. You can also dance the night away at the Gulfport Casino, a community hall located on the waterfront with music, special events, and dancing almost every night of the week. Swing, salsa, big band, ballroom! It is a short drive (8 minutes) to Gulf Beaches. Fort Desoto State Park is nearby, with America's #1 rated beach in 2005! This home is also 10 minutes to downtown St. Pete, 30 minutes to Tampa and Clearwater, and 45 minutes to Sarasota.

I think my husband and I were one of the first to enjoy this lovely place. At that time it was listed somewhere else and we just stumbbled upon it. We were surprised when we drove up and realized it was a house. Don't let that fool you, the place is spa-like. We even had a visiting kitty during our stay that we loved. I can't say enough about the owners. At the time of our stay they had just welcomed their little girl to the family. They are such a cute couple. I know my review may be late in coming but it is well deserved. We had a great stay.
My husband and I spent almost a month in this little cottage--from Mid-February until mid-March of 2011. It was a very bright, cheerful,clean, safe and quiet place to relax. Also it was the perfect location--we were able to walk to the downtown area,several restaurants, the library, the beach, and the dog park. We were also able to ride our bikes safely. The property owners were delightful to deal with and available by phone to answer any questions we had. It was our first visit to Gulfport, but, hopefully, not our last..a very friendly and active small town!!
I stayed here May 11-20, 2010. The cottage is newly remodeled and well maintained. It has all the creature comforts of home including the things necessary to cook a nice meal. I used the kitchen often for cooking since I prefer not to eat out all the time. The glass and tile shower is big and bright. The cottage is located on the owners property in a quiet neighborhood. Its a short walk to the beach, restaurants, bars and shops. Its only a short drive to Fort Desoto and other nice beaches in the area. I think Fort Desoto is the best one around as there are plenty of activities to do there other than sunbathing. For baseball fans Tropicana Field is a short drive away. The owners Jay and Nicole were very nice and helpful with information about the surrounding area. I believe this is a great value considering the cost of hotels and B&B's in the area. I will stay here again next time I visit the area.
