Bachelor lingers nearby and the Cascade Lakes beckon. Bring your bike, running shoes, swimsuit, climbing gear, hiking pack, good book...there are a million things to do in Bend! Nearby Attractions: - Walk into downtown Bend, the Old Mill District or the Les Schwab Ampitheatre for all that Bend has to offer! It's an easy ride/drive to get out of town too! Mt Bachelor is 20 minutes up the road and there are numerous hiking possibilities nearby. Mountain bike and running trails are a mere 3 miles from the house. In the heart of Bend, the cottage is perfectly situated to enjoy a river float in summer, or hop the Mt Bachelor Shuttle in Winter.
We stayed at A Stone's Throw over Halloween weekend. We just wanted a nice relaxing and fun weekend in Bend to get in some mountain biking, hiking and good food. We got all of that, and staying at this bungalow was the perfect place for us. It's in a great location, close to town, all the activities we wanted and many good places to eat, several within walking/biking distance, and within biking distance to the trails. The bungalow was clean, cozy, well laid out and we loved the decor. The binder of information for activities and restaurants in the area was just one of the thoughtful touches we found in the bungalow. We didn't have any problems and would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Many thanks for providing such a clean, cozy home for our first visit to Bend. The hot tub was awesome with snow cover all around! Your cottage is so tastefully decorated for a relaxed atmosphere, and had all the amenities a guest could ask for. We can't wait for our next chance to stay at A Stone's Throw Bungalow!
Your cottage exceeded our expectations. It was lovely and warm and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
