30 feet from the water with breathtaking panoramic views of a very large lake in the rolling hills of the upper Appalachians. Fabulous for sailing and wind surfing. This is a non-tourist, largely Francophone farming area. Perfect for your retreat, romantic getaway, or family vacation or reunion. Canoeing, sailing, good fishing (walleye/dore, bass), and swimming. Stroll the Camp Comfort lane and the old Route #1, enjoy the loons. So heavily wooded you will never see a neighbor. Adjacent log cabin and sauna is included in all summer rentals.   Camp Comfort is the name of a quiet community of cottagers from Montreal, Quebec City, Sherbrooke, and Chicago.

This is the Axtell's family cottage at Camp Comfort bought in 1921 by my grandmother from New York City. Telka was lured to the lake for the fishing and also probably as reminded her of the lovely rolling hills of her native Slovakia.
