Gulf Shores is extremely family friendly and laid back. Enjoy the beach, fishing and boating. We have wonderful fresh local seafood and an array of good restaurants. We have 9 signature golf courses within 20 minutes, including Kiva Dunes, the top course in the state. Local amusements include Waterville USA, several putt-putt and go-cart locations, The Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo (subject of The Animal Planet television series The Little Zoo That Could) and more. There are two historic pre-civil war forts (Forts Morgan and Gaines) plus the National Naval Air Museum and home of the Blue Angels in nearby Pensacola. Eight miles north you'll find a large outlet mall complete with Ralph Lauren, Coach, Nike, Juicy Couture and more.
