Songbird is a cozy ground level side by side 2 unit place located on a quiet residential street. Each side is Identical in size with an open living room and kitchen. Feels like home is what I sometimes hear from returning guests. The morning sun streams in the front windows lighting up the living room and kitchen. Take your coffee out front and relax a while. If you are thinking about a week I would suggest that one week goes by way too quick! Make it 2 weeks and you will get into a nice groove. Some guests come for a week and eat out every meal. Others stay for 2 weeks and grill fresh fish from the shop 4 blocks away or go to Star Fish Company just off the island in Cortez. The 2 week guests save on meals to pay for their 2nd week on the island. Other guests have said to tell you that there is space between the houses and big trees too. The neighbor just to the east has majestic palm trees in the front yard and one is a Cocoanut variety so sometimes you get one in the yard that will cause you to use the WIFI connection to figure out how to open it. The neighbor just to the west has a tropical front yard that is lovely. Our front yard by comparison is plain but neat and groomed. The backyard has a smallish mango tree that bears in July and is babied by our island friend, Gene, (he planted it and loves the mangoes it bears). Well cleaned after each visit by a person that lives just off the island and can provide help if needed Bikes provided.
