It is located within easy access of Acadia National Park’s many hiking trails, ponds, lakes, Seawall , Echo Lake Swimming Beach, Bass Harbor Lighthouse, other villages and sights on Mount Desert Island. Our home is an amazing place to relax, get a good night sleep, then be refreshed and ready to go on your next adventure. New England style home (1120 sq/ft) located in quiet wooded setting in Southwest Harbor on the 'quiet side' of Mt Desert Island near Acadia National Park. Our home has 2 bedrooms each with a queen, full bath, large kitchen with all appliances/accessories and fully equipped, dining room, and a family room, all conveniently located on the first floor with open layout. You can enjoy birds, wildlife, flowers, and stars in the yard. Use the picnic table and grill to enjoy the outdoors. Puzzles, games, books, and DVD's for kids and adults as well as some toys for children (blocks, trucks, etc...). There's even a Lobster Pot. Linens, Towels, Blankets, and Pillows included along with cleaning fee for all weekly rentals. Home has everything needed for grilling, cooking, baking, even cooking lobsters. It has all the comforts of home with lots of little extras including spices, night lights, flashlights, menus, crock pot, cookbooks, fan, and welcome package. The second floor is unfinished and inaccessible. Possible occupied apt on premises with entrance and parking away from house.
Our home is located 4 miles or less from Echo Lake Swimming Beach, Seawall, and Bass Harbor Lighthouse. Just minutes from harbor views, marinas, and downtown. In town, you can rent bikes, kayaks, and boats. Also in or near town are nature cruises, kayak tours, shopping, golfing, restaurants/fine-dining, grocery stores, drug store, museums, and a play ground. Easy access to several lakes, biking and hiking trails. Only 20 minutes from Bar Harbor. See Cadillac Mountain, Thunder Hole, Jordan Pond, or Park Loop Road. Go whale watching or take a carriage ride and stop and have tea/popovers at the Jordon Pond House.
