Property Description
Bedrooms: 2. Bathrooms: 2
Views of Hans Lollick, the British Virgin Islands, and blue seas
beyond will enchant you from this "oh-so-charming" seaside villa
that's set atop a bluff at the ocean's edge. Park your car and enjoy
the tropical flora and fauna along a meandering pathway of 50 stairs
and landings to the privacy of the cottage and main house below. This
home is well laid out, with a pleasing bi-level floor plan and
air-conditioning with ceiling fans throughout. The bedrooms are in
separate pavillions, each with its own deck. The main floor has
living, kitchen (well equipped with refrigerator, icemaker, stove,
oven, microwave, George Foreman grill, coffee maker, coffee grinder
and complimentary gallon of bottled water) and dining areas. And
there's a French door opening to a staircase down to the sunny cliff
side pool and deck. Binoculars and telescope are on hand for
stargazing or whale watching or maybe you prefer to watch the
pelicans as they dive for dinner. Bose speakers surround the living
room and pool area so you can boogie, unwind, tap your toes, relax or
get romantic as the mood dictates. Adjoining the pool deck is the
spacious master, king bedroom/bath suite -- with its own balcony and
alfresco shower overlooking soothing waves breaking in the cove
below. This is truly a private realm of its own. All bedrooms have
their own TV, DVD player VCR, CD player and coffee maker. The
Caribbean exterior -- complete with gingerbread trim, provides
colorful counterpoints to the serene blue of the ocean. Seventy-five
feet from the main house is "the Cottage," with its own kitchen,
queen bedroom area, deck, and alfresco shower. If your goal is to
relax during your stay you will want for nothing at Crosswinds, just
stay by the pool or take a short 5 minute drive to Magen's Bay Beach
-- ranked as one of the top ten beaches in the world. Walk out into
the water until it is shoulder high and then look through the clear
blue water and count your toes! Or perhaps you would like to shop at
the duty free shops in downtown Charlotte Amalie. From this historic
area you can also learn of the island's Dutch roots. Eating is an
important part of any vacation and in St Thomas the choices are
plentiful. Want to eat out? Old Stone Farmhouse and Indigo are jsut 5
minutes away. The island is a lovely blend of US and West Indian
culture and restaurants run the spectrum. Tired of cooking and eating
out? Just have a chef prepare a meal for you at your villa. And if you
are the active type you will
