I have stayed in Estrella del Mar on multiple occasions and I cannot say enough about it. Absolutely beautiful scenery and the fantastic ocean view condo was the perfect way to take it all in. The immaculate views from the balcony included a breath taking pool area and a deserted shoreline that appeared to go on forever. The gorgeous condo is always in perfect condition. Please do yourself the favor of getting in the hot tub with a drink to watch the sun set into the ocean over the infinity edged pool. Highly recommended and an amazing value for this piece of paradise.
We've stayed here many times and will continue to go back. If you are looking for a quiet place to get away, play some golf and enjoy the beach this place is for you. You can land in MZT and be playing golf an hour later! Town is 30 minutes away an easy drive if you want nightlife.There is a small picturesque restaurant on site and the staff is very friendly.
I really wanted to visit Estrella del Mar, and I got to visit for my birthday. I went with some of my friends, and we shared a 2 bed condo with an amazing ocean view. For the first night we dined at the restaurant there, and it was just gorgeous and delicious! We spent most of the time by the pool. It was very relaxing and the beach is very beautiful, with out any vendor. On our last day we decided to visit town. The transportation was very convenient, and we arrived quite quickly. The Golden Zone is full of restaurants, and shops. My friends and I all had an amazing time and will definitely be visiting again!
My husband and I recently spent our 25th anniversary at Mazatlans Estrella del Mar Golf and Beach Resort. One of our friends reccommended the Squires Condo. It was a beautiful 2 bedroom with a wonderful view of the Pacific Ocean. The condo had all the comforts of home and more. We are avid golfers and the Resort shuttle office picked us up on demand and transported us to and from the clubhouse. The proshop staff and restaurant staff were friendly and went out of their way to assist with anything we asked. The Las Villas Hotel and Spa was outstanding. We dined their twice and we both had spa treatments. The menu was excellent. A quaint nearby town,Villa Union,very mexican,had a fully stocked market and we were able to purchase food and other items for our stay so we were able to use the Squires fully equiped kitchen To cook,refrigerate our wine,vegetables etc. We appreciate the Squires allowing us to celebrate our wedding anniversary in comfort and no hassles. My best friend and I stayed at Estrella del Mar in early April, 2011. Our condo was perfection. Everything one could ever want or need is right at ones' fingertips in this beautifully decorated home. The master suite is right on the water and you can hear the ocean from it, as well as the living room and kitchen. In fact, we left the place open all night and felt safe and very comfortable. We had fresh, local produce delivered to us and waiting upon our arrival. Our first morning we walked the beach for 2/12 hours and never encountered another soul. Equally as wonderful is the lack of vendors. This paradise sits on a private beach. The resort staff was delightful and at our beck and call. The golf course is spectacular and a quick ride from the condo. We ventured into Mazatlan for an incredible dinner and great dancing at the local nightclubs. I am already booked to take my whole family back for a week of affordable 5 star service, food, and accommodations! Bonus - this location is a quick, direct flight from Denver!!!!
My friend and i stayed at Estrella del Mar from April 1-5 and we loved it. Honestly, the pictures do not do it justice. It is very close to the airport and we pretty much had no need to leave the property. The beach is beautiful (brown sand) and you can walk it for miles with no vendors or crowds. The infinity pool overlooks the ocean and the grounds were clean and wonderful. Our condo #2203 was impeccable and we both had the best sleep of our lives in the fabulous beds. The place is quiet so if you are looking for a ton of partying look elsewhere. Our only complaint was that we did not include our husbands who would have loved the golf. Most of the people we talked to golfed every single day they were there. The food at the club house and hotel las villas was exceptional and it was a sunny, relaxing, fantastic stay. I would have never imagined enjoying Mazatlan that much. And for the guy who said the palm tree covered his view from the balcony--i had a perfect view from my morning perch so not sure what his reference was. We loved it and cannot wait to go back.
