Very Clean comfortable cabin. Felt very cozy not like a cold hotel. Owner was very accommodating to our special situation. We are very pleased and plan to stay here again soon. Great sledding for the kids in the back yard and on the side of the cabin we didn't have take them anywhere. We were able to tidy up the cabin ourselves after our stay so no cleaning fee was charged. That was very helpful for our budget. Thank you!
What an adorable place this cabin is! It is in excellent condition, roomy and very comfortable. I spent the Thanksgiving week there and my family and I enjoyed every minute. I am defintely looking forward to our next trip up there (which will be very soon)=)
Wonderful place. More than I expected. Very roomy. Feels like home. Very clean. I would definitely love to stay here again. Close to shops and lake.
Very pleased with our rental. House was VERY clean and comfortable (felt like home). Decor was Great and all amenities needed were available. The washer/dryer were a PLUS after the snow play. The Slopes in the back and side of the house offered Awesome sledding. We have rented other homes in Big Bear and this one is definitely at the top of our list. We can't wait to go back! :)
I have stayed here two times in the Winter and now we stayed this Summer for the 4th of July weekend. I can not say enough how nice this place is. I have stayed other places, paid way more and they could not compare to this place. Its always clean and never a disappointment. We treat this cabin as if it were are own and its seems the others who stay here do the same. We are please with the owner and the pride he takes in this place we can only hope everyone treats this place like we do so he will keep on renting it. It is close to everything you need and far enough away to feel that you are not in the busy life of everyday. Thanks so much for sharing your cabin with us so we can experience all that Big Bear has to offer.
We stayed here the weekend that Big Bear had the biggest storm! It was so cool they said Big Bear had not had that much snow in 40 years. The cabin was great it was nice ,clean, and newer. Big hill in the back yard to slide down the kids loved it. I think over 4 feet of snow or more. The cabin is well kept and had everything we needed. We hope to stay here again soon :)
The cabin was great, we had a group of ten and had a great time. However, the owner charges hidden fees and we only got back $300 of our $500 deposit. There is a final checklist that we followed perfectly for check out/clean up and we still got charged $200 for things that were not on the final checklist. We totally got treated unfairly on our deposit but the cabin is still nice. Beware of hidden fees. We left the place clean and tidy but I guess that wasn't good enough for the owner.
Owner Response: First of all they had a group of 15/16. They did not tell me it was a group and there idea of tidy was not, by far up to the expectations of Winter's Hideout. We are not to picky as long as they would have respected the rules and been up front about there intentions. Groups like this ruin it for others. I could have kept the entire security deposit but I was more than fair considering the mess they left!
