My wife and I love the Santa Barbara area, especially Montecito, and we travel there often to visit friends and enjoy local activities. We decided to try a B&B this time, and we found the Room for Two at a gated Montecito estate. The property and location are beautiful, and our room and bathroom were tastefully furnished and impeccable. Our room had its own private entrance and patio, and we were given a remote control to open the front gate to the property, so we were able to come and go as we pleased, no matter what time of day. Best of all, Carla and her husband are very warm and personable, and they went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and happy with our accommodations. Everything about our stay was a pleasure. There are also a few delightful cottages and a swimming pool on the property, and we would like to try one of the cottages on our next trip to Montecito. We highly recommend the Room for Two and Carla's other accommodations.
I stayed here with my husband for one night, because we were in town for a wedding. The only thing we regret was not being able to enjoy the beautiful property in all of its seclusion and serenity for a longer period of time. The cottage we stayed in - the Room for Two - was cozy, comfortable, and very clean. This inn is a hidden gem and perfect for a romantic getaway. Hope to return someday.
Me and my wife stayed here for two days for our six month wedding annivesery and let me tell you, it was one of the best decisions we ever made. Carla's Cottage was the most perfect place! The room itself was super nice, with top-notch anemities. The hot-tub and pool area were really nice, and the best part about it was that it was not too crowded. Me and my wife were able to stay under the hot tub for a night and just look at the stars. Carla is also the most gracious hosts. She gave us a deal by letting us stay just 2 nights (instead of the required 3) , and she was really generous with our questions about what are the best restaurants to goto, and providing good info about the area. The area is nice two, just about ten minutes from State Street, the mission and beaches but far enough away from the crowds... Almost perfect location. We loved staying here and highly recommend it.

We had a lovely stay in a location we once called "home." It was special to return and feel so welcomed by Carla and her family. Everything was exquisitely clean and cared for, tasteful and elegant. We expect we will become regular visitors. The pool and hot tub boasted a beautiful view of mountains and garden. This is a perfect spot.

I enjoyed every single second of my time in the Sweet Studio, the beautiful pool area and peaceful garden. and to top it off Carla and her husband were the most fabulous hosts. kind, respectful, thoughtful and delightful.
