Casa Calypso is a 10 minute walking distance to Santa Cruz Beach and Chahue Beach Club. The town of La Crucecita is 15 minutes walking distance where you find local market, restaurants, shopping & much more. The very convenient new big supermarket Super Che is 10 minutes walking distance from Casa Calypso. Taxi with its flat rate of 16 pesos or $1.60 dollars within 4 miles range is a very economical way to move around in Huatulco. The gatekeeper will have phone numbers to the local taxi cabs. Rental cars are also available but expect to pay around 40-50 usd per day. You might be better off to negotiate a price and hire a local taxi driver for full day trips/excursions .
