The rates listed are per cabin/per night/double occupancy. Quiet Hill Ranch is just what the name implies, a remote and peaceful paradise. The 6th generation ranching family welcomes you to one of the most beautiful spots in Texas. When at Quiet Hill Ranch, you are truly away from the 'rat race'. Four one room log cabins are perched on a hill overlooking a valley with a 50 mile view. The hills come cascading down either side of the valley producing what we affectionately call our John Wayne view. Each of the cabins can accommodate 6 guests. The Handi-Cabin, #4, has it's own kitchen/dining area. There is a queen, full and full futon bed along with beamed ceilings, satelitte tv, small refrig, and in room coffee. Each cabin has a campfire ring to cook s'moores and more. With an elevation of 2100' and only 4 lights in the distance, stargazing is the finest in the Texas Hill Country.

A swimming pool fashioned after an old rock water tank is a delightful spot for everyone to cool off and have some family fun. The pool is rounded on 3 sides with beautiful valleys giving one the impression of swimming in air.

Behind the pool is a separate log lodge that contains 2 main rooms The Ranch room is equipped with a rugged fireplace, old timey ranch furniture, books, games, puzzles, toy box, a piano and dining tables. The other room is the Mighty Kitchen. It has all you need to cook everything you want.

Behind the lodge is a wonderful playground with horshoes, swings, slide, playtower, sandbox and basketball goal. A little past the playground is a small barn that houses a coop of chickens happily laying eggs for our guest to collect and cook for breakfast. One of the favorite places of respite is the wildlife observatory. An 8' X 12' building ringed with cedar poles has a 6' X 7' glass viewing area overlooking that big valley and water is bubbling out of a rock at your feet into pools, creating a bird spa. They love it.

Quiet Hill Ranch offers 'Lil Dude Rides" for children. They're special 1/2 hour rides with history and stories told along the trail.
