Located just off the Blue Ridge Parkway at mile marker 344, this cottage overlooks the South Toe River, great trout fishing, and recently completely remodelled inside and out. Elevation is about 2700' above sea level, nice and cool, but we've got AC anyway. Gas range, sleeps 6, Satellite TV, Washer and Dryer, innertubes in basement for your enjoyment.
Less than an hour to Asheville, 20 minutes to Burnsville, 4 miles to Blue Ridge Parkway. Several hundred feet private river frontage, only trees and rocks on the other side, and Pisgah National Forest. Hiking trails just a few hundred feet away. Tubing on the river in the summer, great location to observe fall color.

We took our three children (ages 4, 6 and 9) for a week and had a fantastic time. The river is just right in the back yard. The kids spent hours just playing in the river right there in back of the house. Water was not too deep to worry, but they could float around on inner tubes. The cabin is cute and clean, perfect for our needs. Not far to Mt. Mitchell and other short hikes to water falls. Lots of great pottery shopping. Hemlocks campground right up the road with an excellent river swimming hole and a walking trail. (3 bucks to get in for the day)
