Welcome to our 5BR/3BA lake home! We live in Mpls, but vacation here year ‘round because we love it so much. We rent it out just a few weeks per year to help pay for the property taxes. :)

You and your family will love our 400 ft of private lake shore, a sandy beach and a crystal clear, naturally sand bottom lake that’s great for swimming and even better for fishing! We have a paddle boat, inner-tubes, dock, and a boat lift. Boat and jet-ski rentals are nearby. The water depth is great for children and gradually deepens to 5-6 feet at the end of the dock. The entire lake home interior is finished with beautiful bass wood on the walls and vaulted ceiling and has custom made pine furniture throughout. The master bedroom with a king size bed and bathroom is in the loft and overlooks the main floor kitchen and living room. There is also a small bedroom with two cribs in it in the loft too. The kitchen is fully stocked for all your cooking needs. The third bedroom with two twin beds and a separate, full bathroom are also on the main floor. There are two living rooms areas that have a large flat screen TV with cable, over 150 current movies/DVDs, a grand piano, a comfy pull-out bed, and an incredible panoramic view of the lake. The fourth bedroom with twin bunk beds and a full-sized trundle bed, and fifth bedroom with a twin over queen bunk bed and a full bathroom are also in the fully finished basement that walks right out to the lake, just a few steps down and only 20 yards away. This spacious but cozy 3000 SF house is surrounded by a huge deck that overlooks Lake Belle Taine. The lake home is at the end of the peninsula, gets no drive-by traffic, and has thick mature trees throughout the property so you'll have total privacy. We are one mile from the Heartland Trail (50 miles of paved trail!) and are just minutes away from many great restaurants, horseback riding, the Forestedge winery, canoe outfitters, golf and unique shopping. After a day of fun you can light up a camp fire in the fire pit and watch the sunset. This is the perfect place for your summer vacation or even a fall or winter getaway!

A poem from the Knodel family! What a splendid place to stay -- a perfect spot to relax & play . The woods, the water, sand & sun -- the stars above when the day is done. The call of the loons and bald eagles too -- herons soaring into view. A safe abode for our four little tots – immersed in nature to broaden their thoughts, While the grown-ups all sat back and ate – played and ate and stayed up late. A week where we could clear the mind – respite to let one’s soul unwind. It’s true that simple things are best – for past vacations gave less rest.
