Thank you for convincing us to stay in a vacation rental. We were considering a condo with a pool, but you're right! The beach was so close that it wasn't a hassle to get there at any time of day. Great for 10 people not wanting to feel confined in a 2-story townhouse that would have been much smaller. We were able to spread out, so to speak, at the house and get together when we wanted to. Heading to the beach so easily after an afternoon nap became a routine for both mom and baby. Wish we could do that at home--that's what I miss most of all. We all loved hitting good 'ole Front Street where we had breakfasts at Longhi's and taking walks down to the harbor to watch the surfers and paddle-boarders. My husband even tried it at the beach nearby and got the hang of it easily. Our little boy enjoyed sitting on the board--nice photo op! It was simple to get to Safeway where we shopped almost everyday for fresh fish that we grilled out in our own lanai. We loved the privacy and the sense of feeling that you're well taken care of. They seemed to think of everything that we needed to be comfortable including toys to get the kiddies entertained. It’s cold where we come from so going barefoot was nice especially for our toddler. Thank your housekeeper for us—the house was perfectly clean. We'd love to return and hoping to get a good deal again.
It's been a month almost since we came back from our Maui vacation and already we're missing the island and the beautiful villa where we stayed. We got a great last minute deal at the last minute when we decided to celebrate my husband's return with a nice vacation after being deployed a year ago. The house was pretty big for just four people, us and the kids. But it was very clean and so close to the beach as the agent said accurately. We bought a disposable play pool for the kids that we kept in the backyard so they could have a water activity when we got too lazy to go to the beach. We also got a babysitter that the agent recommended and went to Kimo's for drinks (their mai-tai's are to die for) and went to dinner one night at Pacific'O. Great appetizers and killer view from out table. Other than going to the beach and enjoying Lahaina we didn't do much site-seeing. Just enjoyed the house, the barbeque in the lanai and slept a lot. We just enjoyed the house. It was a quiet and relaxing vacation. The key was finding the perfect house that made the vacation seem longer.
We rented this house for a February Wedding in Maui. We were pleasantly surprised at how nice the house was and its asian theme. House even had a rice cooker which was appreciated by family. In a great location at the end of Front Street and price was negotiable during peak season.
