This family style waterfront cottage nestled on the south shore of Lake Simcoe is opposite Georgina Island. Large lawn area is perfect for soccer, frisbee, volleyball and badminton.This 4 bedroom waterfront cottage has plenty of room! A fireplace, deck, firepit make this a great vacation getaway. There is a dock available for your use. The property is raised at the waterfront with a small retaining wall with a sandy bottom at shoreline. Swimming, snorkeling, fishing, water skiing......is great! Besides our dock, there is a government dock to the west of the property, as well as Virginia Beach Marina; if you have guests visit. Glen Sibbalds Point Provincial Park is the nearest tent/trailer park about 4 miles where firewood may also be purchased. There is a great sandy beach there as well. For our winter guests - Lake Simcoe is home to the Canadian Ice Fishing Championship and offers thousands of anglers some of the finest and most diversified fishing opportunities in Canada. Lake Simcoe has its deep sections for cold water species like lakas trout and whitefish, mid-depth areas for popular fish like small mouth bass and yellow perch, and shallow, weedy places that harbour largemouth bass and other warmwater species. Lake Simcoe fish include: northern pike, black crappie, walleye, brown bullhead, burbot, bowfin, carp, pumpkinseed and bluegill sunfish, rock bass, white suckers . It is a fisherman's paradise.
