RED RIVER GORGE & NATURAL BRIDGE STATE PARK Nestled under the sandstone bluffs that nature carved out of Rocky Hollow, things are quiet and easy going. Here lies Big Rock Log Cabin tucked away in the Kentucky mountains yet only minutes from Natural Bridge State Park, Red River Gorge and the Daniel Boone National Forest. After a day of fishing, hiking, or rock climbing, Big Rock is a wonderful place to come home to. Relax on the large covered porch or before the Great Room's fireplace. You can even relax in lounge chairs with a campfire in Big Rock's own rock shelter. Big Rock Log Cabin beckons you to slow down, relax, and enjoy the sights and sounds of the forest, all in the comfort of a cozy and well furnished log cabin. Big Rock Log Cabin is fully furnished & decorated antiques & folk art, creating a cozy comfortable setting to relax in. When it is chilly lean back in front of the fireplace in the Great Room. There is a bath and a half plus a Jacuzzi and all linens, blankets and towels are furnished. Big Rock has a galley style kitchen that is furnished with everything you need. Just bring your food, drink, and personal items. Central air and heat will keep you comfortable all year round. Big Rock is only 5 minutes from a full dinner at Natural Bridge Resort Lodge or Kentucky’s best pizza, even Subway. That’s the nice thing about Big Rock, it’s close to everything, but when you top the ridge and drive down into Rocky Hollow you are suddenly away from it all in some of Kentucky’s best mountainous forest. You are 5 minutes from Natural Bridge State Resort Park where you can walk the trails, fish the lake, or swim in the pool. Five minutes more and you enter the Red River Gorge Geological Area and the Daniel Boone National Forest with it’s forest and mountain trails leading to natural stone arches and fantastic views of cliff lined valleys.
