Nearby Attractions: - The property sits on two bodies of water which leave endless possible water activities. There are three golf courses within twenty minutes of the cottage. Enjoy evenings on the beach with a bonfire. Bird lovers will enjoy Mc Geachey's Pond which is just a short walk down the new walking trail. Fishing charters can be set up as Lake Erie has a large salmon population. Sports fishing on Rondeau Bay is also popular.
myself and siblings (six of us) made a sort of pilgrimage to canada to visit childhood memories. old dans gave us so many more memories to share and look back on.the house was large, airy and gave us all many different areas to congregate. there was plenty of room for all of us and assorted family members. it had such charm and it was wonderful to have the sound of the waves lull us to sleep. the owners were wonderful to work with. just a few steps to the beach and a short walk downtown. just be foreawarned that the outdoor shower is the only shower. the full bath upstairs has a tub which all of us were too old to climb in (or get out of). it was an adventure for all us us to go outside in the cold (many of us are from warmer climates) and shower and walk back through the house to get dressed. there were no options for doing that outside. but- that all added to the charm. we had an absoloute blast!! we will defintiely put old dans in our future plans!!
