Originally built in as a residence this home was purchased and remodeled in 2006 for use as a vacation rental retreat. Maintaining the original timber frame underground features the lighting and ventilation were greatly improved by enlarging skylights and adding geothermal heating and air conditioning. My family has enjoyed the UH and the surrounding property during the fall of 2011 and 2012. The description on this site is accurate; my family especially enjoyed the air hockey and mini-ping-pong as well as the campfire pit. We were saddened this past fall to hear of Dr. Leon Peele's death, so we're not sure if the property will continue to be available for rental or not.
