In addition, there is an old-fashioned wood-burning stove in the kitchen area. Large dining room table. 2 bedrooms. Master bedroom with queen size bed and a single bed. Second bedroom with bunk beds and a double bed. Full bathroom with washer and dryer. Hot tub overlooking the lake, plus deck and patio areas right on Lake Lovering. Private dock. On a small dead-end road, right on the water, very quiet, no traffic. Included: Fully equipped kitchen (stove, fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, dishes, etc). Washer, dryer. Full bathroom (bath with shower). Local phone. TV with dvd player . Sheets and towels. 2 kayaks. Small barbeque. Close: Orford and Magog. Also near Ayer's Cliff, Tomifobia, Stanstead, Fitch Bay, North Hatley. 20 minutes to Vermont. Outdoor activities: Skating, cross-country skiing, and swimming right outside the door of the cottage, on Lake Lovering. 2 kayaks available. Downhill skiing at Orford. Restaurants: Restaurants and nightlife all around - Magog, Orford, Ayer's Cliff, and more. Everything from gourmet dining to pubs to pizza parlors. The Lakeview - Le Bord de l'Eau. My husband and I stayed at the Lakefront cottage for a week in September. The view over the lake from the cottage is exceptional. A large deck and a virtually full wall of windows allows you to enjoy the outside with ease. While the cottage was comfortable it did not have all of the amenities as advertised. There was a T.V. but it only played DVDs, there was no reception. There was no local phone, no hot tub, no barbeque. The sliding screen door was broken forcing a choice of keeping the door closed and not enjoying the fresh air or leaving it open and dealing with flies and mosquitoes. There was no ladder from the dock so getting out of the water was more difficult than it needed to be. The lighting was not conducive to reading and the kitchen was not what I would call fully equipped. Note that the bedrooms are upstairs and the bathroom is downstairs. Had the price of the cottage for the week been less these things would have seemed minor but at over $1000.00 they were not. You are right if you say that the price was higher than listed on this web site. It was. Any one thinking of renting this property should clarify these things in advance.
