I've been coming to Ocean Isle for over thirty years and this was by far the worst house we've ever stayed in. The rooms are incredibly small (we had only 11 people out of 16 maximum allowed staying here and it was crazy cramped), the bathrooms are tiny and have the noisiest exhaust fans ever, the furniture is worn, the carpets are filthy, the bathroom showers and curtains had mold and mildew in them, we found the previous renters' clothes and garbage under and beside the beds, the fridge is apartment sized, half the lightbulbs were burnt out, the walls are paper thin (could hear even soft conversation upstairs), when you run water you can hear it dripping inside the walls, the A/C unit could barely keep up, we had roaches on the first floor, the mattresses were worn out, and the walkway out to the beach only goes out half way (you have to go down and walk on the sand to cross the dunes). All this and it cost $3200!!! We contacted the rental agency who offered another cleaning on Wednesday. Too late since we already cleaned it on Sunday. We chalked it up to being fooled once. Never again.
