BUCKS BEACH BUNGALOW: Sleeps up to 6. Open architecture, 2 baths. This house is cozy and freshly remodeled. This 1920s garden-style Bungalow is just 7-doors from the first of several nearby beaches. Small views of ocean from front deck where you can watch the sailboats float by. It's full of laid-back luxury, like fluffy bathrobes to wear to the hot tub, Ice & filtered water dispenser on Refrigerator door and it features a Queen Murphy bed in the bedroom area, a Queen innerspring futon in the Living Room area, and 2-adult-sized padded twin-size cots available to set up in front of the fireplace (or you can use the aero bed) for a maximum of 6-guests. Both the Murphy Bed and the Queen Futon area have Blue Velvet privacy curtains. Enjoy the private backyard $10,000 hot tub with lighted waterfall and 6-different massage jets areas, a foosball table and a stainless-steel BBQ. The Bungalow's fireplace comes with FREE firewood for the fire-stove. There is also Wireless DSL Internet access, automated Shiatsu-Massage chair and Cable TV. You will also find 100s of VCR tapes and DVD disks for movie watching as well as "On Demand" movies that are free on the Cable channel #1 and the movie starts as soon as you choose it! This is an open-architecture style home, so the cook in the kitchen can talk with those in the other areas. Each sleeping area has blue-velvet curtains to close the area off for privacy. There is only one door inside the Bungalow, and it's on the 1st bathroom. The 2nd bathrooms entrance is off the patio. There are 2-private off-street parking spaces which are accessed from the back alley and one on-street parking space in front of the Bungalow. This quiet street does not require parking permits. There are also 15 restaurants within a short walking or biking distance. Use our 6+ bikes to ride 10-minutes to the South, to the Village of Capitola with its large Beach, complete with volleyball courts, seaside restaurants, and fun shops. About 20-min bike ride to the North is the world-famous Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk with the West Coast's longest remaining wooden roller coaster and is open all weekends. This Bungalow is very Pets Friendly with a 6-high fenced in-backyard and an outdoor shower for after beach sessions. I am reviewing this vacation rental company aGreatPlaceToStay.net who also manages Bucks Beach Bungalow because they took such good care of us when the home that we had reserved with another person, turned out to be double-booked. There my family was, sitting in the car after a 5-hr drive, when I was told by the people in the home, that they had reserved the home and had been there for 2 of the 5-nights that they had paid for. I Goggled Vacation Rental homes on my iPod and was happy to see that aGreatPlaceToStay.net was still open as it was after 6pm on a Sunday night. When I called, I was invited to come to their office which was just a couple of blocks away and easily review the homes that were available from their computers. We narrowed it down to 3-homes, and Geri took us to each and explained the differences to help us decided which would be the best for us. We ended up taking the 2nd of the 3 we saw and were very pleased to have the Housekeeper show up within 20 minutes and deliver a welcome bouquet of fresh flowers. She also asked permission to take a quick look around and make sure that the home was completely ready for us. She found a spider-web (they can make a new one every day) and removed it for us, and when we said we wanted to go somewhere to eat, she also told us of a couple of her favorite restaurants that were in the area. The Pink Godzilla was fabulous! This company really understands the meaning of service and I am happy to recommend them to anyone who likes to be treated as an honored guest.
