Dolphins abound, and during our winter time migrating whales can be seen on the ocean side of the island. Moreton Island is the second largest sand island in the world, and is a designated national park. There are dugong on the bay side of the island and just north of the Resort are the Tangalooma wrecks, perfect for snorkelling, and inexperienced and experienced scuba divers alike.
