My family and I had a wonderful vacation in Tela, Honduras. Villa El Caracol is a very comfortable and private house. The kids enjoyed the pool and the proximity to the beach. They loved looking for crabs by the rocks and swimming in the warm ocean. I liked walking for hours from one extreme of the beach to the other. I had the beach to myself. The house has 3 bedrooms and a living area. The kitchen is well equipped and the right size. The owner had bottled water waiting for us upon our arrival. While we had cable TV we did not watch as we had plenty to do at the beach. A well kept secret was ordering fried fish at the restaurant by the beach. I will definitely stay there again.
I was fortunate enough to stay as a guest at this beautiful spot on the Caribbean. A charming vacation home lush with tropical fruit trees, exotic birds and serenity. Sitting on the deck, you could hear the waves breaking on the beach and when standing, you can see the Caribbean which is a very short walk away. Breathtaking sums it up nicely. The cabana has all the amenities that Americans expect, is tastefully decorated, and is extremely comfortable. It is located in a very small community in a rural setting about 15 minutes away from the town of Tela so one gets the best of both worlds; the serenity of a nearly private beach and a larger town full of interesting places to see, fine places to eat, and marvelous entertainment to enjoy. One warning, guests will likely never want to leave!
