Immerse yourself in the history of Brooklin when you stay at The Ark! Built in the 1800s The Ark was originally the Brooklin General Store and Post Office. In 1900, the building was moved to its location on Meadow Lane and received the addition of the bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom. Guests to The Ark can enjoy rustic simplicity as the interior has stayed much the same over the years, making it the perfect spot to get away and leave the hustle and bustle of everyday life behind for a while.

The cottage has two bedrooms and one bathroom (with claw foot tub!). The kitchen is rustic but fully equipped with dishes, utensils, pots and pans. Off the kitchen the screed in porch is the perfect place to enjoy dinner or breakfast without being bothered by any pesky mosquitoes.

Just minutes from the center of town you can visit the new Brooklin General Store and other locally owned shops. Blue Hill is a short drive away and Deer Isle and Stonington are just a short drive in the opposite direction. This little cottage is perfect for those that love Brooklin and its history.
