Nearby Attractions: - With parks, forest preserves, hiking/biking trails and both downhill and cross country skiing, there are also several challenging golf courses just 10 to 30 minutes away, great restaurants, shopping and all the culture of Madison within a half hour. Even Galena is a gorgeous one hour drive. Of course, you can just stay right here and enjoy your own private trails, Labyrinth, firepit, hammock or an evening sunset from the top of the hill.
we stayed here with our two little girls and it was wonderful. the owners make paths all over the prairie and through the woods. I felt safe letting my 4 and 6 year olds run all around the property. of course I could hear them giggling. cows from a neighboring pasture visited the fence each night to graze. it was great having a fire pit and the owners had it already set up the first night with wood and twigs. it was so relaxing to be there and our kids thought it was like living in a fairy land. the kitchen was well equipped, they even have a press pot and coffee grinder if you need it.
WE LOVE INN HEAVEN! Rolling hills, cows, green fields, and privacy. You drive up seeing another house but what you don't realize is your "oasis" begins once you walk up the stairs. Ken and Nedra are there when you need them but if you don't you forget they even are next door. It's our home away from home.
