Property Description
Three bedroom cedar saltwater front cottage located at the center of a
perfect sandy cresent beach on south east Whidbey Island, with
westerly exposure with wonderful views from all rooms except one. The
home is surrounded by decks on 5 levels that enjoy wonderful views of
Holmes Harbor and the Olympic mountains. Stairs lead to a 14X50 foot
deck that is next to the water, upon which is constructed a seperate
living quarters for responsible kids, a small kitchen, a glass
outdoor shower for sand removal purposes, and a glass covered gazebo.
There is a boat ramp to the beach for launching the provided 12 and 7
foot fiberglass boats, as well as steps and a ladder that also get you
to the private beach. A mooring bouy is in front of the property.
There is a stair case to the main cottage with two landings up the 25
foot bank. The cottage features a stone fire place in the living room,
walnut pegged oak plank flooring on the first floor, and all rooms are
panelled in either pine or cedar. Closets are lined with aromatic
cedar. The home is filled with good quality functional antiques, and
contains around 40 leaded glass works of art by local artists,
including windows, Tiffany style lamps and window panels. It has the
latest electronics, including a big screen high definition tv,
smaller flat screen digital tv in the downstairs bedrooms, a home
theatre system, a new computer with dial up internet service,
wireless phones and a fax machine. It has a fully equipped kitchen
with glass topped range, microwave, compacter, dishwasher and small
appliances, as well as good quality cutlery. Unusual design features
are throughout the cottage. The master bath (which holds the
washer/dryer) has an authentic porthole in the wall which has a
stained glass water scene behind it. The main bathroom has a
shower/bath combo that is built at the end out of glass block and the
tile surround is a work of art consisting of a great blue heron
painted onto the ceramic tile that comprise the tub surround. More
stained glass helps form the entry into the whirlpool equipped
tub.The french doors from the dining area lead to a large deck that
consists of large custom made teak flooring components producing one
of the most beautiful decks you will have ever seen. In front of that
deck down 3 stairs is another deck that holds the hot tub. Out side
are glass covered breezeways, a water feature, a teak settee, a
stainless barBQ, a large eagle carved out of cedar, and good quality
outdoor

Nearby Attractions: - During warm days one can swim in the
sound. Dungeness crab are caught
in the provided pot right out front of
the property, and when the tide
is not high, one can walk along the
beach for miles. There are lots
of butter clams and muscels on the beach
at the north point. I have
a large propane fired appliance for
cooking crab and clams, and you
can sit in the hot tub and watch your
kids try to catch the
occasional fish from the provided brand
new 12 foot Livingston boat
that slides down the ram
